Hotel was booked by Travel agents GLACIAL ADVENTURES and upon looking into reviews I was sure the stay is going to be bad, so no much hopes. Upon checking in, feel is like a low budget OYO. But soon there was an explosion of cockroaches. They were just everywhere, running across the floor. Complained to hotel, they sprayed repellent but no use, they are just too many in number. Upon looking for room change, we realised all room are cockroach infested. Upon checking out, gave the humble feedback to manager to do PEST CONTROL.
This hotel is located near the katra main market. Hotel infrastructure is good, rooms are neither very small nor too spacious. Cleanliness can be improved, hotel staffs were polite and helpful, most of the people who come to katra and stay here are pilgrim of mata vaishno devi, so this hotel provides free vehicle service to devotees to a point called banganga, from there one start the trek for bhawan and do the darshan of maa vaishno devi. Overall the experience at this hotel was good
Worst hotel ....bathroom flash not working, no any single water bottle even in complementary after getting 2500 per room..no complementary breakfast.... unprofessional staff behave...never recommended.

this place is not good according to staff prospect... staff behaviour is so bad they enter in a room without asking and after enter they see your room stuff by rotating his neck here and there and if u refuse to enter they don't even listen a bit and misbehave.... So in. A simple answer not good for ladies or family no safety justified. Even fully is there still there saff behaviour for ladies is not good and at the end just becoz of this review they even refuse to give drop to station which he told me at the time of booking... very bad hotel and their service
22nd may 2023 we booked 3 rooms at Hotel maharaj, to visited Vaishnvadevi temple,. We stayed 4 Hotels in Jammu, Kashmir, out of 4 this is best hotel, good service, manger is very nice person, resturant staffs are very good I always refer to this hotel to my fly & friends Mala shetty Mangalore
Room sizes are good but need to renovate specially Bathroom. Food and service are good and staff behaviour also good they provide pickup and drop to near to main gate of Mandir...
