Prime location but food items are costly. Deluxe rooms come with two separate beds as well as with single queen size bed. Regularly cleaned and hygiene maintained. Complimentary breakfast is two food items with tea/coffee. Laundry service is available but under garments are not entertained. Lift is not available. Service is prompt. Airport pick up and dropping service is also available.
Location is exactly in the center, perfect. The rooms are clean. Executive room has an amazing beautiful view overlooking the entire city and valleys of Aizawl unobstructed. The staff are friendly.Single room on bottom floor is value for money but noisy due to the cafe above and more prone to cockroaches due to hallway outside the room being exposed to outside so they are flying in. I highly recommend executive room for the amazing viewpoint. I booked the executive room for a second time upon my return from Lunglei, I paid in full and reserved in advance online but on check in they told me they already filled the executive room and gave me deluxe room instead. One staff member tried telling me that the tariff for deluxe and executive rooms are the same . The deluxe room was facing the main street and was extremely noisy all day and night, no peace.
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff were nice and there was hot water.
But there were multiple dead cockroaches right outside the door in the hallway with plates of rotting food from another room which nobody ever cleaned.
Also, there is a large opening above the door so you can hear all noise and music from the cafe and streets above.
Good enough place to stay if there wasn't a cockroach problem.
Very nice hotel, near & clean. Hotel is situated in very good location. Mizoram state museum is very close to hotel (within 100 mtr). Hotel situated in main road so i can easily hire a taxi. Food quality is also good and price is reasonable too.
Hotel Receptionist help me very much, he also arrange partner to share the taxi to the lengpui airport, since taxi fare is too much (Rs1500).

As per mizoram is concerned I have been staying in this hotel since last 3 years, as it is in the heart of aizawl everything is walking distance , like zarkawt sumo stand, barabazar chandmari all are in 500 mtr distance, room they need to equip with modern ways, food also they have restructure their menu.
Hotel Chief is an excellent example of value for money: located in the heart of Aizawl, warmth of Service Team and MIZO Reception, Freshly Customised Cooked Food, Neat and Clean Rooms.
Especially the Service Boys/Guys are full of warmth with smiling face and provide customised support as and when required.
Just one caution to People with (Physical) Disability (PWD): being an economic hotel starting from the 1st floor, with reception/ restaurant/ rooms, they do not the luxury of elevators (or lift).

Reduced to three stars because I PREPAID and reserved for the executive room again upon my return to Aizawl from Lunglei but when I checked in they told me they had already given the executive room to somebody else so they put me in the deluxe room. The staff member tried telling me that the tariff was the same but on Goibibo where I made the booking deluxe room is 400rs cheaper.
Over price its very costly ,other hotel like regency are more fancy an cheaper than Hotelchief room service are very worst i have a nightmare here u ned to improve
