My worst experience at Kedarnath when I booked the heli ride to Kedarnath with #ThambyAviationPvtLtd. The booking slot was 9 AM to 12 Noon. We were asked to come by 7.30 AM and we have boarded the flight at 11.30 AM from Phata. The toilets they have are worse than the public toilets. Not even a light is present. The bad smell is very unbearable. The staff except the guy who sits in the cash counter, everyone else has bundles of Attitude. We were told that we need to finish the darshan within two hours and return to the helipad on the hill. We have opted for Special darshan and were back by 1 PM and have given our names. We have waited till 5.10 PM and then we were told that only tomorrow we will fly back. We did not carry cloth clothes, medicines, another pair of dress etc. I have learnt in the mean time that they have given their helicopter for lease to Thuria Group (Global Vectra Helicorp Ltd) which ran for their passengers pickup between 2 PM to 4 PM and on next day between 8 AM to 10 AM.

Worst services ever. They know how to make money. Delayed onward journey n no guarantee of return journey. Their staff had worst attitude towards customers.

Very bad service at Amarnath, because of less clients they kept all the people waiting nearly aged above 60 to save fuel.....Disgusting, Pathetic no words to described them and Pilot was having so much ego as if he is the owner of that helicopter...

On 5th Oct we travelled to kedarnath through thumby. We were a group of 8 people. While returning back, we got the token number 31&32, but due to bad weather the flights for cancelled. The thumby people assured us to get the refund for the flight. So, we mailed them the scanned copies of our boarding passes with their signature and have also called them several times but there have been no response from their end. We request them to proceed the refund as soon as possible.

We had a very bad experience with this aviation. We went to kedarnath this month on 5th of oct and were suppose to fly with thumby. We reached kedarnath after a long wait. But while returning, due to bad weather they cancelled flying. Their member in kedarnath assured us that our return ticket money would be refunded. He signed our return boarding paas and asked us to go to their phata office at night. We climbed down and reached gaurikund at 11 PM. After which we went to their office at phata as per their instructions. But no one was there to answer. If the office was suppose to be closed then their person should have not told us that they are open 24*7 and we should go there. We went 30 mins off route to go there that late at night. After that we have mailed them, called them a zillion times but there is no reply from their end. Highly unprofessional. If you are not flying then atleast be professional enough to reply and return the money back.

Worst service. My parents booked a chopper to go to Kedarnath and they charged 17K per head just for a 7 minute ride. We still paid.. But due to bad weather they told they can't fly when choppers of other aviation companies were still flying.. They refunded only 4.5K and told that the rest is for middle men which they can't refund .. This is a FRAUD .

Om Namah Shivay I was literally crying. My mates who went by walk at 5am reached by 4pm at kedarnath. And Thumby Aviation (as usual according to reviews below - stated they have technical problem or even if weather becomes bad they won't fly). (i was at 5:00am at helipad - requesting to fly, they said its a rule to fly after 2pm for night halt passenger and at 2pm they said we are not flying due to technical issue) After crying for 3hrs and asking to switch the operator politely zillion times or maybe arrange another helicopter to fly passengers. Thumby finally switched us to chipson for one way #grateful. Thanks a ton to Chipson operator, who made us fly at 5:30pm and we could have kedarnath darshan and aarti. Next day for return we were again tensed because we had to deal with thumby. Apart from thumby every aviation started flying at 6am sharp. When contacted thumby they said "they will not fly before 7am, and in case of technical issue they can cancel flying as well". I had to call GMVN customer care and put a strict complaint about Thumby aviation. Kedarnath is such a peaceful place, but thumby aviation ruins by its mis-management. Nothing against Thumby, I hope they improve on CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) Better switch to another operator if you have thumby aviation as an operator for kedarnath.
