There's nothing exceptional in the lake. But trust me, pedaling your boat at 13900 feet altitude, is something that can not be described. All the staffs were extremely helpful and well behaved. Experience of a lifetime. Must try.

Hangu lake is situated just above the Changu Lake on the way to Baba Harbajhan Shrine. We went there during the month of April (17th April 2023) and the lake was almost frozen and the view was simply outstanding and mesmerising. The driver whom we took was saying that during summers and autumn's, one can boat there, but during our visit the lake was completely frozen. You can see the breathtaking lake from the road side itself before you reach Bana Harbhajan Shrine. A must visit place again.

The place is so beautiful and serene . The hoisted indian flag , pride flags and religious flags looks so beautiful . Boating is also done here. You can visit this while visiting nathula pass.

I'm unable to find great words to describe how i have felt by seeing the lake. Just impossible to explain the view. Lake befow and rain above and surrounded by cloudy mountains. What a boating experience? A lifetime memory to cherish! Must visit hangu late and of course, do boating there if you are visiting North Sikkim. The name hangu is because of golden ducks that came there first.

Hangul lake is a beautiful place to visit. It situated in Indian state of Sikkim,and is located at the height of 13000 feet above sea level. It is fed by the glacial water. and is nearly a kilometre long. The advent of winter brings flocks of migratory Birds, from across the Himalayas, to the shallow waters of Hangul lake.
