It's an army canteen mostly for ex-military people and their family for groceries and liquor, so you need to have the army canteen or the liquor card for the entry. The quality of the items are really good and with a low price on most of it. But the maintenance of the building, stock or the arrangement is not so good. The procedures like letting only one person with the card holder is fine, but the low number of billing counters and extensive checking are not so pleasing. There are some items like watches, bags and some other gadgets which they will not provide you with the product but instead a code for billing. Then once the billing is done you have to show the bill to get those items, This process is irritating at times.

Although the canteen is too big and most of groceries items was there but buliding is too old and water was coming from the roof at the time of billing. And items are not categorised properly and its like maze. And top of that we found that the staff was either new or inexperienced one bcoz lots of mistake has done in billing.

My husband served in Army for 10 years, he participated in war also. His father died, he left army to take care of his family. Canteen allowed to buy groceries & liquor . Now my husband died. I don't know what to do. After one year i submitted application for canteen card, they rejected, Rs.20000 not given. This is not fair.After husband's death, why wife should not get canteen card, , what rules this, where we have to go. Those who served for more than 5 years they should get canteen card , the govt., Announced in 2018. Why canteen people not following govt., rules rejecting to give canteen card to his wife which is not fair, he served 9 years in Army for free of cost or what. Those who are serviced for 5 years and retired with pension. Why this canteen people are ignoring to give canteen card, when Govt., told those who served more than 5 years they should get canteen fecilities.Why these canteen people breaking govt., rules, and not giving canteen fecilities to me

It's an amazing canteen, where Army employees are been visited here for house goods and products and also liquor are also available here in this canteen. People are fun and so does the canteen employees, it should surely be the best canteen at Bangalore.

Golden Palm Canteen is quite spacious and falls under a different category. Accessable to only those with a canteen card, and there's ample parking available. However, it seems they could benefit from additional staff members, as moat of th3 time there are long waits at the billing counter, sometimes exceeding an hour. Due to the canteen's size, they have a policy of not allowing bags inside, and you must store them in lockers without locks, which can occasionally lead to misplaced bags after shopping. Inside the canteen, I observed some customers opening perfume bottles, unpacking clothing, and even unwrapping sealed items like bathing soap, without any staff intervention to discourage this behavior. I felt it is huge loss for the cateen. As no one will buy a opened stuffs. Unfortunately, the staff, particularly at the billing counter, appeared rather impolite. I suggest some security officer or senior person should be there to control the customer at the billing counter too to avoid fights, arguments etc.

Best canteen to collect your vehicle supply order. The guy at the counter is very prompt and helpful.
