Nice park, not that big, can be a good couple of hours tour, good parking but at times May fill up based on rush. A canteen and a souvenir shop inside. Not that crowded, so a good place for kids outing. Enjoyed being there.
Chandigarh Bird Park is good place to spend ur day with the Children. There are different species of birds. There less birds in the park but one can spend good time. It is such a beautiful place. A variety of birds are there. The open restaurant is there. But they charge too much to click pictures with a macaw parrot. It is near to the rock garden. They planned its interior so beautifully. Your child will love to visit there. Must visit.
The Department of Forest & Wildlife, UT Chandigarh has developed Chandigarh Bird Park at Nagar Van behind Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh for creating awareness among general public towards bird conservation especially the young minds on nature education and conservation. Smt. Savita Kovind, Hon'ble First Lady of India inaugurated the Chandigarh Bird Park on 16th November, 2021. The Park have been created for the exotic birds which are commonly bred in India. The Chandigarh Bird Park have provided ample space for each & every bird with 58 feet flying height with total ground area approx. 200x150 feet each for terrestrial birds and aquatic birds. The structure is designed in a way that it surrounds thousands of plants of varying canopies, which gives an ideal habitat, food and shelter for these birds so that they can freely fly and breed. It is believed that this structure would be the tallest structure of the country in Aviary domain.
The bird park has some exotic birds of african origin. Two large dome shaped enclosures offer natural habitat for the birds, the dome itself is a small wonder. Watching birds up close is a thrilling experience. Park around is beautiful and esthetic. Park is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
