We loved how hospitable the property owners are. We just felt at home, had a great view of the sea from our room, had the best possible buffet breakfast with calm music every morning. I wish to have stayed longer in this really lovely home like stay. The room decor and amenities are fabulous too. Casa Fortuna will be my all time favourite place to stay whenever in Goa next. Thank you for everything Fortune, Joseph and Michael.
We had a fabulous experience at Casa Fortuna. The premium room had a breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea and the beach laden with coconut trees (even from the spacious bathroom). Fireworks (during New Years for instance) all over the Panaji can be viewed right from the room balcony. The hosts Fortune, Joseph and Micheal were very hospitable, gave us nice ideas and suggestions for exploring Goa. The breakfast was delicious and had lot of variety. The experience overall was much better than what a 5 star resort can perhaps offer. Only downside- total serenity is not something you can expect only because all of Panaji and Goa are becoming concrete jungles (you can often hear vehicle horns and sound of traffic from the room).
This is a beautiful place managed by Fortune and Joseph. It's spacious, very well maintained and exactly like the photos on various websites. Our interaction with Fortune upon arrival was enough to show us that she's a thorough professional and that this place is no less than a four star hotel. Moreover, both Joseph and Fortune were very helpful in recommending good places to eat since I'm vegetarian. The breakfast was amazing and elaborate; both my partner and I found it an added bonus of such a beautiful place. The room we stayed in was huge, the mattress was so cozy and soft, we slept like babies, so much so that we couldn't not feel tempted to take a nap everytime we sat on the bed for a little while. Hence, this would be an ideal place for a relaxed retreat in your otherwise busy holiday as it's a great place to stay in. A few things for anyone who's going to book this place- There are rooms on the ground floor as well as the first floor. The one in the pictures I've attached is the side sea view room on the first floor and the balcony actually is a shared balcony with the adjacent room (smaller than the one we stayed in) and usually these two rooms are given to larger families, because then they can enjoy the balcony without the movable wooden panel that would divide the balcony into two. Also, all rooms have a name designated to it; I've attached a photo of the name of the room we stayed in so that it may be easier request this same room if you shall like. The homestay is located in a good safe area in Dona Paula, there are restaurants at a walkable distance if you don't rent a scooter or car. However, the only downside is that it's situated on an elevated hill, it's not a straight level road and there are craters and worn out spots in the road. So we found the walk a little cumbersome on full stomachs or in the heat of the afternoon but nevertheless nothing too taxing. Just something you should consider before venturing on a walk.
Fantastic place! Owners cannot do enough for you at all, nothing is too much trouble. We arrived at 0200am and the hosts were very accommodating to get us settled in. Freshly cooked Goan cuisine made from scratch every morning is included in breakfast, which is delicious. Facilities are excellent, staff are wonderfully attentive and the views from the hotel balconies are stunning (pic). Room was comfortable and airy, beautiful furniture, pretty touches all around. Hotel is in a good location as a base for exploring. Recommend the White House bar and restaurant, the Goan Room and the Soft Rock Cafe for nearby evening meals. Owners spent lots of time guiding us through excursions available /suited to us and even put us in touch with local taxi company with honest rates. This hotel is a perfect honeymoon hotel and it is just so lovely all over!
I have just returned from a four week stay at Casa Fortuna, Dona Paula, Goa. The homestay is delightful, the airy rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with lovely views across the bay. However, what made this holiday so very special was the warmth, kindness and hospitality of Fortune, Clive and Michael. They made my first visit to Goa a truly memorable experience. Fortune and Clive were always happy to listen and do anything they could to help me in any practical way by booking taxis and with advice about places to go and to see. Fortune is a wonderful cook, her breakfasts were always varied and delicious. She went out of her way to look after me and my husband and friends who joined me during my long stay. This couple made me feel very special and loved and convinced me that I will come back again and again.
A quiet Cul de sac with a beautiful view of the sea. Beautifully stunning interiors with automation, homefood and all the amenities. Even the pillows and sheets used would give 5 star properties a run for their money. Hard to find for first time travellers, but the owners are very approachable, well-educated and dedicated towards your staycation. Had a wonderful 3 day stay at Fatima with my partner and our infant. They even went out of their way to home cook us dinner when we had an issue ordering food. A must stay property for Goa and I know I'll be back!
This is a good place in Dona Paula, feels like a safe homestay with very friendly and genuine family running it. The cleanliness is great, the breakfast served is cooked in the home stay kitchen by the lady owner and the taste is great, everyday the menu is different. The location is calm and locatable by asking directions from localites, google maps somehow makes you land on a parallel street. I would suggest families to definitely try the place. As a bachelor, like most others, you'll be more inclined to loud music, dancing and late night chit chats for which I would say Goa definitely has other options. This place has a calm environment. Bars/ supermarket/ church/ forts/ beaches are at a drivable distance. Cash/card is accepted and proper bills are provided.
If you want to have the experience of a home (and mind you, not 'homestay' which sounds a bit more professional), this is the place! Away from the maddening crowd and yet close to the 'happening' places of Goa (Calangute, Baga, Anjuna, Panjim), located within walking distance of Dona Paula Jetty (and the famous sculptures), this is a place with a stunning view of the sea from the balcony of your room. Clive and Fortune, the hosts, are magnificently gracious (we will remember the cakes that were given to us on our way back as airport snack). Add to this the home-cooked breakfast and the utterly delicious lunch/dinner (on order), again home-cooked. In a state famed for its beaches, this is the place to be ...an experience away from the crowd and yet close enough if you feel like dipping your feet in!

Beautiful apartments. Loved the decor. Clean place. Quick service and friendly staff. We threw a birthday party on the terrace which had the most amazing view. Two jacuzzis and a garden space was more than enough for the guests to relax and enough.
