Blue Jay Hostel, Rishikesh - Backpacker Hostel in Rishikesh - Dehradun, India

At Blue Jau Hostel in Rishikesh, the ambiance was fantastic, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. What truly impressed me was the reasonable pricing for such a wonderful experience. The icing on the cake was the live music in the evenings, transporting me to a whole new world and adding an enchanting touch to the stay. Highly recommend this hostel for a delightful and affordable stay in Rishikesh.

Quite nice, but my lack of stars stems from the hygiene mentality of the staff. When I mentioned that my sheets, pillow covers and blanket were obviously used had hair and stains of previous guests on them they didn't replace them with fresh ones but just switched them with others from my room. A little bit more effort wouldn't have been that hard. Apart from that, it's generally business travelers staying here and you'd rather find people on recreational purposes in other hostels.

The dorm rooms and the bathroom were super clean, also their hostel staff was nice and friendly. They are very helping and give u every information you would need for your travel in rishikesh. Happy to stay here. The staff friendly nature and the cleanliness is super attractive, This was my second stay with them. Would love to stay here in my future visit too.

We spent 4 nights and we were very comfortable. There is a real shower with hot water in the rooms with balconies. Wifi works great first two floors, works discreetly in higher floors. The hotel is close to the main tapovan road. I recommend it. Staff always present and welcoming.

Very disappointed in this hostel given the good ratings and reviews it receives. No hot water in showers. Completely incompetent, un helpful and un friendly staff. Rooms and hostel dirty. Generally not great.

Cons: 1. No Parking at all. Don't book if coming with your vehicle. The area is very congested now and its difficult to reach there by car. We came with our car seeing previous reviews which mentioned ample parking but there is none. We ended up paying Rs 800 (2 days) for parking about 200 meters away and wasted more than 2 hrs searching for the same. 2. There is constant generator sound in the day from nearby construction. There is no AC or lift if there is power cut which happens daily in the afternoon. 3. There is no room service even if booked double deluxe room. No towel no bedsheet replacement. (paid 23750 for 2 rooms 2 days) Pros 1. Rooms are very clean and hygenic with all mentioned amneties. Washroom is clean and balcony is good.

Possibly the nicest friendliest hostel around. The dorms are perfect, providing a lovely bathroom with shower gel and shampoo, hairdryer and point for electric shaver. The beds are covered entirely with surrounding curtains for privacy including light and power point. The rooftop terrace also hosts a cafe, and games room on ground floor has huge TV, several sofas and cushions to lounge on and a massive selection of games and books. The staff are so nice and kind and always happy to help.

We stayed in private delux rooms. The room is great, hygenic. But they dont have room service which I understand because its a hostel but since two days the water in the water purifier was not there. They didnt even provide extra towels So its just good if you really want your rooms to be great otherwise everything else is just ok
