History of N.g. Steam Locomotive no 45ZE THE STEAM LOCOMOTIVE WAS BUILT IN THE YEAR 1954 BY KAWASAKI ROLLING STOCK COMPANY LTD. KOBE , JAPAN. IT WAS PUT INTO COMMISSION BY INDIAN RLY. IN THE YEAR 1955 IT SERVED INDIAN RLY. FOR 38 YEARS BEFORE BEING CONDEMNED IN THE YEAR 1992 WHILE WORKING IN RUPSA- BARIPADA - BANGIRIPOSI SECTION OF ORISSA . IT EARNED ABOUT 13 LAKHS K.M. DURING ITS SERVICE LIFE
The Steam Locomotive was built in 1954 by Kawasaki Rolling Stock Company Ltd, Kobe, Japan. It was put into commission in the year 1955 by Indian Railways. It served Indian Railways for 38 yrs before being condemned in the year 1992. Then it was working in Rupsa - Baripada - Bangriposi section of Orissa. It ran about 13 lakhs KM in it's working life.
