I am writing this review in response to the feedback provided by the school. Dear Anand Singapore International School, Your response to my feedback is disappointing. As a parent, I value transparency, structured education, and a supportive environment for my child's growth. Your response does not address the issues raised. My child is no longer attending your school, but I hope you take this feedback seriously and make genuine improvements for the sake of other students and their parents. ---------------------------------------------------------- Writing a review after my child studied in Anand Singapore International School for one year. Pros: - Kids may enjoy school environment. Cons: - Lacks structured curriculum, impacting education quality negatively. - Conducts exams without informing or preparing students, causing unnecessary stress. - Focuses more on celebrations, leading to academic distractions. - Assigns unnecessary projects with little educational value, wasting time and effort. - Management does not address parent concerns or make improvements. - Shows favoritism and discrimination among students. - Many teachers lack sufficient teaching experience, affecting education quality. - Fails to provide proper textbooks and follow them, causing confusion for parents and students.
The curriculum is great but there is no skilled/experienced teacher to deliver at an international standard they claim to be, which is the fundamental flaw. The quality of teaching is appalling and thus puts immense pressure on the parents and students as we must start from scratch. They believe students have the superpower to grasp everything at a go without being taught and give stellar performances. They use the semester exams and unit tests to validate the students and demoralize them rather than assessing the capability of their teachers and their teaching skills. They are highly contradicting in nature, they will ask us not to worry about the marks, but the teachers will insist on getting good marks and humiliate students who don't. They do everything possible to demotivate and degrade the children and that's not what schools are meant to do. Every child is skilled, and the school must tap that potential or the least not belittle them. It's a small group so any kind of biasedness or favoritism becomes obvious and that's one thing that was highly intolerable. A budding school should take feedback seriously, there is no point in asking for feedback and ignoring it. The only intention of any parent is to provide quality education to their children and want them to be in an environment that raises them as positive individuals. We spend substantial time and effort giving that feedback, but it gets ignored or ridiculed. On the upside, you can reach out to the teachers anytime and have the flexibility to attend online classes if you are unable to make it to school, the cross-collaboration among the students, and the reading buddy program are worth mentioning. However, it falls down the cracks as again that's patchy as well. The school clearly lacks experienced leaders and staff and therefore has no standards, consistency, or clarity in what they do. They must bring in the right staff who have the right experience and maturity to run a school if they are serious about growing in this space. This is just the tip of the iceberg and I hope the management takes any spectrum of feedback seriously instead of brushing it off. It is high time they do some critical introspection to address the gaps. Especially, when we pay a premium fee, we expect the school to deliver what they promise rather than constantly being reminded of what they need to deliver, even if they could fulfill some basic expectations that parents have will help them go a long way.
My grandchild is studying in this school. I never saw the class work. What is going on in the class room is not known by the parents. The child is not evaluated frequently. The performance of the child is not known to the parents until the final exam. Very less practice is given especially in maths. Then how the child will learn. The child is distracted by many events. The event also not subject oriented, only fun and dance. I expect this school to take the academic side seriously
Best activities based teaching school where kids have fun and learning at the same time. Awesome infrastructure, engaging teachers, and it's innovative approach has made the school different.
ASIS Curriculum is quite interesting where they have embedded human values and attitude in it and the student - teacher relationship is at a different level here when compared with the other educational institutions, where they are able to provide more focus towards individuals strengths . I really appreciate their initiative to provide very good interpretation and conceptualization of the curriculum content in multiple directions . I think this definitely acknowledges and helps the children to learn to experience not just the "knowing concepts" but also imbibe the "experience and explore " attitude . I am really happy that my son is a part of the ASIS educational journey.
Good infrastructure and kids friendly environment for a great education... excellent bonding between teachers and students also highlights the school as one of the best institution... cultural and school activities are conducted with amazing enthusiasm and energy which brings in the opportunity to grow and learn together.
The care and concern the principal the teachers and the administrative staff shows is just beyond words. V r very happy to have chosen ASIS. My granddaughter is in N2 and has been attending online classes from October 2021. Now v r eagerly waiting to see her off to school on March 1st. The protocol the school is following is very good and I feel very safe and confident in sending her to school. Wishing u all the best
