Terrible place. The service is the worst I have ever seen in the country. The staff are incompetent and useless. Name anything and it does not work in the room, the ac, the TV, the cupboards. Overall the room looks like a junkyard. Seems all the second-hand 1940s junk ever made is present in the room. The bathroom can be seen from one side of the room. So if anyone has to use the bathroom the other one has to be blind or look the other side for that entire duration. The person in the reception wants to fix everything and never does. She infact makes it worse. The TV which was showing only local language channels, she came to fix it to show other languages but infact ruined it further to show nothing... Overall TERRIBLE and PATHETIC

The room was really ok to stay. But kindly book online before visiting the hotel because it varies nearby 500. And charge me 300 extra for one hour early check in.. other than that everything is fine.

Have made a reservation to this hotel a week before my vacation and they confirmed my booking but on the time of check in, no rooms as been allocated to me, it was such a disaster and no proper response from the receptionist.

Disappointing Experience at Hotel Akrida. I recently had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Akrida during my visit to Pondicherry. I would like to share my experience with you, as I believe there are some areas that could use improvement to ensure a better guest experience in the future. My family and I had traveled all the way from Bangalore to Pondicherry for a much-needed vacation. Our journey was already exhausting, and upon arriving at your hotel around 11:30 pm, we faced a rather distressing situation. The room that we had initially booked was unexpectedly cancelled, and to our disappointment, it appeared that the same room was subsequently sold to other guests at a higher price. While searching for a solution, we came across Hotel Akrida and reached out to your establishment. Over the phone, we were quoted a rate of Rs. 1500 for a room, which brought us a sense of relief and excitement. Eager to settle in and begin our vacation, we promptly headed to your hotel. However, upon arriving at Hotel Akrida, we were met with another unfortunate surprise. The room rate quoted to us over the phone was Rs. 1500, yet the hotel owner informed us that the room actually cost Rs. 7000. This inconsistency in pricing left us feeling disillusioned and dissatisfied. It is disheartening to encounter such discrepancies, particularly when it involves a service industry that thrives on guest satisfaction. I believe it is essential for any establishment to maintain transparency and uphold the trust of its guests. Miscommunication and pricing inconsistencies can lead to a negative perception and result in guests feeling cheated and undervalued. As travelers, we look for places that offer a seamless and genuine experience, and unfortunately, our stay at Hotel Akrida did not live up to these expectations. I kindly urge you to consider implementing measures to avoid such instances in the future. Ensuring that the information provided to guests is accurate and consistent will undoubtedly contribute to a more positive and trustworthy image of Hotel Akrida. Additionally, fostering an environment where open communication and fair pricing are paramount can go a long way in enhancing guest satisfaction. I hope my feedback is taken constructively, with the intention of improving the guest experience at Hotel Akrida.

They hotel is in the side of the main road. Location is fine. However there is no special four wheeler parking.

One of the best places I have stayed in PY. For this competitive price, the experience was luxury. Room was great. The washroom is epic. Good service. Amazing food from the hotel itself. Parking shouldn't be a problem as there is a good amount of space right outside the hotel. Overall great choice , you can go for it.
