Love the Warton Center went and saw Mama Mia opening night was very fun and enjoyable. However many tickets for specific shows can be very pricey. Still fun to go seen several orchestras, Hamilton, and Now Mama Mia. Plan on seeing Wicked here as well. Do wish the seats were a little larger. Those that are "bulky" may find the seats a little small. But enjoy and go see a show.
Pretty good experience! My first play was at a larger venue in Nashville, but this was a great place to go close to home.
Lost a point because many of the seats on the sides of the venue are blocked views due to speaker placement. We had one of those seats and it was only a problem during one scene, but we still knew what was happening. There were a couple seats that were worse-off, but it wasn't too bad. They sell them to the students, which is annoying because there are so many, but not the worst block it could have been.
Also cannot serve alcohol due to campus policy, but hopeful that it changes as the stadium is now able to serve alcohol. If you like to have a drink and watch a show, it can't happen here (yet??)
It is not super accessible from first glance. I am not wheelchair bound but use a cane on occasion and there are a lot of stairs, and the parking garage elevators only work 50% of the time. They have services in place, but it's always nice if the services weren't needed.
This has been the best theater I have been to. The plays, service, and atmosphere are always amazing. I have seen multiple plays and musicals here and will be seeing the rest of the Broadway season. I highly recommend this place. THERE IS LITERALLY NO BAD SEAT HERE!!
I saw Mama Mia recently at Wharton Center.
This was by far the best musical I have seen in many years. It was upbeat, lively, colorful, and the singing was outstanding. I will definitely see it again if it comes back to Wharton.
Oh my gosh, we had so much fun! We laughed at Mama Mia so hard! The performers were amazing! I would recommend putting visible numbers somewhere to aid in the parking lot.
Smaller lounges for less than 100 people? I had no idea this was an option. Fantastic spaces on second floor, with entertaining or catering spaces right next to the meeting area. Outstanding.
What a great venue. I really enjoy coming to see live Broadway performances. The staff at Wharton Center are so friendly and welcoming.
We went to see Mama Mia. A great show. We did have seats that were in the upper deck, quite far away but still great sound and a good view of the performance.
