This is a great park..well maintained and the best part is the camp spaces are large and not all bunched up together!! Nice hiking trails looping around the park too.
You must reserve your spot online...I am not a fan of doing this online but this place is worth the $10.00 camping fee. It is dog friendly.
The Porta potties are the cleanest I have ever seen!
Water is not available,so bring plenty with you..
I enjoyed my stay here very much..and was able to stream movies..internet is pretty good...full bars most of the time.
Clean campground. Camp host Lisa does a great job checking in on campers. Lots of portopotties scattered throughout the site. Fees for sights fluctuate. Three picnic tables mean triple the single site price. Good Verizon signal. Close to main road and Hwy 8. Therefore it is a bit noisy. Never did find the garbage can.
I would stay here again. It's big and spacious. Most of the road noise is buffered. (I say conveniently located to major roadways.) Take a stroll, explore, rockhound, lounge, work puzzles, read a book, contemplate life, or play horseshoes. Fortunately, don't travel without mine. Stayed a couple of nights. Stock up on water before arrival and there are no hookups for those who truely can't camp without them. I booked my site on campspot or scan the QR code on arrival. Plenty of fresh smelling Porto-cans around and there is a place for trash. Lots of seriously geriatric saguaro, some plant diversity, and crazy industrious ant colonies. The sherriff dept does perform drive-thrus.
Excellent place for a couple nights or more. Is pretty isolated and a bit of a drive to Casa Grande for real shopping. I didn't see any place for payment at the location as posted a year ago. Payment must be made online. $10 a night and a $3 registration fee. Hard sand roads and sites. Nice pavilions and picnic table and charcoal grill. Some rutting from rain but was able to enter with the class A and a toad. It's September and had rain and thunderstorms off and on last evening and night. Hopefully the sand stays hard enough to not be a problem driving out this morning. As the web site says, no facilities at all. No trash receptacles, water, electric, or sewer dump. Pack it in, pack it out.
Excellent camping! Great host! Highly recommend.

For a not so far off the beaten path park, yet away from the city this nicely kept park is a little hidden gem. You can camp overnight with the proper permits available at the self pay station. Day use is FREE! They have really nicely kept picnic areas spread throughout the park and really clean Porto potties at most picnic sites that were stocked up with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Now, if your expecting a grandiose landscape and beautiful mountain terrain it can be a lil disappointing. However, the desert has a beauty of its own that any outdoors person can appreciate so just be sure to fire up your Chevrolegs.... and hike around the area on its well marked trails. If that's not enough, just down the road you can find plenty of state trust land to venture on. Just be sure to purchase the proper permits to be out on this ground, it's very affordable and give you access to literally thousands of acres to enjoy. One last note, ok maybe two last notes, there appeared to be a large structure for a multiple family and friends get together and bring some trash bags to cart your stuff back to a trash can, as the park doesn't have a place for garbage to go. Sorry forgot pics before we left so here's a little view of the state trust land down the road.
Very helpful camp host. We never found the garbage and you can only have a fire in the on site bbq. It's between two major highways so there is some road noise. The camp sites are nice for groups and large RVs as well as day camping. You rent space online and vary from $13-38 a day. Sun set is amazing.
