Stayed here when in Vegas for a concert. Traveled with our 20 year old son and his 20 year old friend- so for the first time ever I decided to book a non casino hotel in Vegas as they wouldn’t be able to play in the casino or really enjoy the pool areas. Found the Waldorf through FHR and Hilton Honors program. We loved the stay and would definitely return. The hotel is elegant (former Mandarin Oriental) and the staff are lovely. The food at Zen was great- had late night dinner when we arrived and breakfast each day of our stay. The pool area is calm and peaceful and gave us a welcome break from the surrounding chaos. Both rooms were upgraded - either through Hilton diamond status or FHR - our room was upgraded to city view one bedroom suite and the kids were upgraded to 2 queen bed city view. The suite was large and well appointed. Overall a great stay and we would definitely return.

This was a great stay all the way around that easily exceeded my expectations. The room was large, elegant, and very comfortable, and the hotel's public areas exude understated luxury. I used points for the stay (which required me to book the lowest category of room--a city view double), but was pleasantly surprised that, despite it being a very busy weekend, I was upgraded to a strip view room on a high floor. It's nice to see some meaningful acknowledgement of Diamond status from a domestic Hilton property! More impressively, I had let them know that we were celebrating my son's 21st birthday, and they had a bottle of chilled champagne and a delicious chocolate mousse cake waiting for us in the room at check-in. In addition, there was a complimentary bottle of cabernet on the side table as a gift from housekeeping. Very generous! Finally, not only did housekeeping service the room every day--increasingly a rarity at U.S. hotels--but they went above and beyond to refresh the ice in the ice bucket as we had not yet had the champagne. That, in my view, is a truly above-and-beyond touch.||Bottom line--this is a great hotel with a fantastic location right in the middle of the strip. It is one of the more elegant choices for a stay in Vegas, and it delivers on its promise of a high-end experience. While it has no casino--actually a plus in many ways--it is adjacent to both the Aria and the Park MGM, so anything you want to do in terms of shows, restaurants, gaming, etc. is readily available without need for a car or taxi/Uber. It can be pricey (though, like everywhere in Vegas, rates very wildly depending on the calendar), but is a fantastic use of Hilton points.

I’ve stayed at WALV many times over many years as a Hilton Honors Diamond member. My primary attraction to the property is the lack of casino and the quality of the spa. With that said, in all my stays, I have never once received an upgrade (even from city view to strip view). I am told every single time that there are no upgrades available, even when availability shows as WIDE OPEN on their website. In addition, I am always initially told that no late check-out is available “due to capacity,” with no further help offered. I’ve been given this reason when their website shows tons of available rooms for check-in that day, including the room type I’m in. I would of course understand that they may not have enough housekeeping staff to clean all the rooms at particular times of the day if too many people were to check out late… except that MANY times, after being told that late check-out is not available, I’ve been subsequently told I can stay until 12 pm for $50 or 2 pm for $100. So, they actually do have late check out - they just don’t honor HH benefits - and prefer to extract more money from their most loyal patrons. Particularly because this is a high-end property, they could also offer solutions for guests when late check-out is not available. Such solutions at other hotels (of both lower and higher prestige) often include a hospitality room or use of the spa facilities for a short time, so that a guest can, for example, shower before heading home. Nothing here. ||On the whole, it seems like management doesn’t have much interest in helping guests or rewarding loyalty. Since my loyalty isn’t appreciated here, I might as well go to another non-gaming property like the Vdara.

Although this was a very underwhelming stay, I will probably return (unfortunately) because I don't like staying at the massive casino hotels. I booked through Amex FHR and am a Hilton Diamond member and returning guest. I was assigned a room on a low floor literally the very first room next to the elevator. Certainly not a great first impression given that Amex FHR and Hilton Diamond both should have gotten me upgraded. I checked the Hilton website and there were better rooms available in multiple room types (i.e., junior suite, full suite, etc. all available). Plus, again, I am a returning guest which should count for something. I called the front desk and after some haggling was given a similar room (but not an upgrade) to a higher floor and not next to the elevator. I stayed in August midweek so no clue why the property is unnecessarily stingy with upgrades. Bizarre. The hotel also has very strange room service hours...they do breakfast and dinner but there is no room service from something like 11 AM to 5 PM. So, if you have a work call you can't get lunch delivered. Finally, they offer a hotel car service in a small radius but it also has weird hours. Overall, I'll return but this property falls short on many levels.

Good location. Sort of in the middle of the strip (south central part). I agree with previous reviews that the hotel is a calmer escape from the chaos of the typical Las Vegas hotel casino. The pool was nice and much calmer particularly on Monday. Weekends had more people. ||The only minor negatives include the elevator situation. You go to floor 3 and then switch elevators again which is a little annoying. The other minor complaint is the TV in the bathrooms (integrated in the mirror) don’t work. Looking at the reviews here it has been like this for years. Not having a TV in the bathroom is fine but take them out if they don’t work. Kind of ghetto that they are still behind the mirrors with an obvious volume knob. ||Last time we were in Vegas we stayed at the Venetian which was also really nice (huge rooms) but I’d probably stay here next time.

Wonderful stay at this amazing property! This was our second stay there. Despite actually living in Las Vegas, we find it extremely convenient when attending a concert at T-Mobile Arena as we can easily walk back and get our daughter to sleep shortly after. As a Hilton Diamond Member, we enjoyed an upgrade and had great views of the Las Vegas Strip. Despite being on the strip it was essentially “sound proof.” The service is outstanding and the rooms are beautiful…very well maintained. The aesthetics of the rooms are sleek and modern. All areas of the hotel are well maintained and the restaurant is outstanding! Best sushi ever and the breakfast was just as good. My wife enjoyed the spa and had a great massage. She is particular with regards to massage and loved the masseuse and the spa in general. Valet was amazing…we did not have to wait long ever for our car. This hotel truly was luxurious and I highly recommend!

The hotel is very nice but it is pricey in room rate and food. That is why I gave it 3 stars overall. Location is great. Housekeeping service excellent though you had to tell them if you wanted room vacuumed. Front desk was helpful but sometimes it felt like you had to keep telling them what you needed. Rooms were spacious.

We stayed for a weekend in August to attend an event at T-Mobile arena. Like many previous reviewers mentioned, I was disappointed with my treatment as a Hilton diamond member. That aside, there are a number of positive things about the hotel. The hotel facility is very nice and the staff are typically professional and friendly, although not proactive. The room (junior suite) was large and very clean. We also thought the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was pretty good. Finally, the hotel is an easy walking distance to T-Mobile arena. But while very nice, the hotel does not seem like a five star resort. Small touches were missing - like a welcome gift or even amenities like toothbrushes in the bathroom. As mentioned, service was good but not great. We enjoyed our stay, but for a five star hotel it was nothing special.
