Venice Myakka River Park - Park in Nokomis - 7501 Laurel Rd E, USA

Nice clean small park along the Myakka River. Pawed walking trail with a couple of pavilions with bbq. Kayak launches close to the gate, and bathrooms at the parking lot. Quiet and clean, nice view of the river. Dog friendly.

This was my first time to the Venice Myakka River Park. They have plenty of parking, including handicapped. They have clean bathrooms. The trail is paved and in great shape. There’s a kayak launch. I didn’t notice a lot of signs warning of alligators. Because of that, I don’t think I would bring a dog.

I came to explore this spot I found on the map awhile ago. It was clean, and quiet. There was a paved walking path leading to picnic tables and pavilions along the way. There are access to grills all along the riverside. Looks like a great kayak launch too!

The kayak launch is not the greatest but its not the worst! We did see a gator on the river.

A beautiful, tranquil spot to spend an hour with nature. Florida to the core. The type of place that freaks you out a little when you hear rustling in the bushes. There is free parking.

Beautiful Park. Real Florida . They filmed the original Tarzan movie just up the river. Shady covered Picnic Areas with bathroom's. A dock for boater's and fishing. Lots of old old nice Oak Trees. Great family park. Enjoy.

A short walking gem on the far end of Laurel Rd, that has a view of what must be the very most Northern point of the Myakka . Many people launch their kayaks here as there is a dock with an easy kayak cradle.

Small but attractive and peaceful. Great kayak launch, a short paved trail suitable for wheelchairs, restrooms available, no fee, ample parking for the generally small no. of visitors and a couple of picnic tables.
