I went awhile back. We rented a golf cart and drove it here. There were plenty of parking spots. Admission was $12 for an adult. Your ticket includes both the light station and Battery Garland across the street. The light station has 178 steps and no elevator. However, they do have rest areas. It’s worth a visit to get to the top and look out. Impressive views. Museum was small but it’s still cool to see. When it reopens, I recommend coming in the morning or week days. Only a certain amount of people can go up at a time.

Well worth it to visit this park. You get to really see how the light keepers lived. We really enjoyed going to the top of the lighthouse and the fantastic view from there! Be sure to tour the old fort that is across the street to me it was as interesting as the light house. There are also some nice restaurants around there also.
Beautiful area and a great self guided tour. Takes about 1.5 hour to see it all. They are a little ridiculous about their "no fanny packs, sling bags or back packs" policy. Ladies can bring a purse but you can't wear a belt back or side sling bag. What in the world is that about?
Loved visiting this historical site and climbing the lighthouse. The volunteers are very informative. Could to see some great artifacts. There was no wait at all when we went in the morning time. You cannot buy tickets in advance.
Absolutely loved walking around the Tybee Island Lighthouse grounds! We, unfortunately, went while the lighthouse was under restoration, so we did not get to climb to the top. However, walking around the buildings, seeing the artifacts, and learning about Tybee Island culture made for a fantastic Saturday afternoon!
Lovely lighthouse, which you can climb, museum and gift shop, lighthouse grounds have houses to walk through, benches and picnic tables. Lighthouse stamp for the passport book is available here. Great view from the top of the lighthouse.
We arrived right at 9am and are so thankful we did! We were able to buy tickets directly on site. Also, parking was free, but you only get 2 hours. 2 hours is plenty of time to see everything on site plus the fort across the street. It was HOT in the lighthouse, which was expected while climbing 178 stairs in the middle of July. Again, makes us thankful we arrived first thing in the morning because I can't imagine going in the middle of the day during the dead heat 🥵 However, the climb is totally worth the view at the top!!
We had a 3 year old and 12 year old who also enjoyed everything at the museum & cute gift shop on site.
