Town & Country Motel - Featured Reviews (67)
I usually don't write reviews but this place got some bad ones that I think are totally unfair. I stayed here for the better part of a month for work and I was surprised and impressed with the quality of the room because of how cheap it was and how nice it was, as well as the quality of the customer service this hotel offered. They were always willing to provide me a quick solution to any issue that came up in a moments notice and at any time day or night. All the apliances were nice and they were functional the whole time I was here. The room was really clean, They really do a good job here, I'd recommend this place to anyone! The only downside I can come up with is its not located in the wealthiest part of town so fair warning if you walk a ways down the road after dark you may see a bum or two. The hotel itself was very secure with cameras and whatnot. I never had a concern regarding my personal safety or the safety of my property while I was here. In my experience this is a well maintained and professionally ran establishment. The bad reviews are probably because they were causing problems or damaging the place and were mad about the consequences. They have rules here, so it may become an issue you throw a late night block party in one of the rooms or if you think taking home the tv is part of the deal. Long story short I will definitely be staying here again the next time I work out this way.
I arrived skeptical at first of the town and country motel. I've been told mixed things about the motel. Id been told Mostly that its a place where sketchy activity happens frequently and that you might get bugs in your clothes. I was mistaken. Room 34 was perfect. It looked clean. The sheets were bleached. The floors and paint looked fairly new. My bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked great at the end of june. As i stayed through the week I witnessed the hotel managers thoroughly cleaning the other rooms when people checked out. The guy I usually saw behind the desk was always polite and honest about the amenities provided and expectations of motel guests. He even let me slide when I invited a guest over and didn't pay the extra 25 bucks at first to have another person staying in the room. All in all I was extremely pleased with my stay. For 350 a week or about 70 night the town and country is a great value for anyone looking for a plcae to stay for the night or several nights, while on a budget. I will say that the area it's located in isn't the safest. So Lock your car doors. Don't hangout around the parking lot for hours. Be respectful to other guests and the neighborHood. Do that and 999.99% of the time you won't have to bump into any unsavory individuals. If anyone not welcome comes on property the hotel managers will make them leave. The security cameras are pretty detailed. The guy typically behind the desk does a great job of securing the premises. I witnessed it first hand and was impressed. I hope everyone else enjoys their stay at the town and country just as much as I did.
The guy running the property is absolutely rude. We spent 2 hours in a vehicle, after working a 14 hour shift, so a friend could get to town for work. My husband went and picked up our friend's cousin so everyone could visit. Nobody was loud or disrespectful until he came to the door for the third time and said if his guests don't leave now, he's charging and additional $50. The friend decided to just get their money back and go somewhere else. Instead of keeping $10-$15 for the cost of electricity and water he used during his hour stay, this jerk gave him $40 of the $95 back. For being in the guest service business, he should really learn how to retain his clientele.
Drove in from Texas to Iowa. Robert was amazing. Great attitude and always smiling with an awesome personality. Room was clean and beds are comfy. No problems at all!!
Has bed bugs and roaches, when I tried telling him about the bed bugs the guy got super rude and blame me when I know for a fact I did not bring them! Wouldn’t change my room which is completely against the law. The only good thing about it was the price.
Great service here they are friendly and helpful enjoyed our stay here recommend it
My wife and I had to cancel our reservation at the last minute. Normally there is a cancelation fee, but I requested to have the fees waved and they did in fact, wave them. Very nice of them to do so.
Anne was absolutely amazing from the first time I spoke with her, through the duration of the 8 weeks. When my Daughter was awarded a Summer Internship and we were responsible for finding housing for 8 weeks in Iowa, to say I felt over whelmed was a
I've never had a bad experience there from my early childhood memory when it was a movie theater, to musicals, to concerts, and the symphony. The staff are very professional and it's even nice to come back and see their familiar face!
I was in town for a month, Abby and the team have created an amazing environment that is friendly, motivating, and challenging. Every coach I worked with was focused on form and safety. Itâs been more than a year since I had last done CrossFit, Coa
