Overall nice weekend getaway. My wife and I enjoyed two nights in a second-floor room, with windows facing the lake, which we could sort of see. We found it a quiet, peaceful place to stay; enjoyed the music playing downstairs. Very comfortable king-sized bed. Great staff; very friendly and helpful. Loved the complimentary breakfasts! Their own mixed berry jam was delicious! Nice croissants. Very tasty! The pool was being re-done, so wasn't open. We visited Meredith for other meals, shopping and swimming. The Meredith beach was enjoyable, just 15 minutes away. All in all, a very nice stay, and we would return.
I last reviewed this Inn in 2019, and gave it 3 stars. On coming back 5 years later we were impressed by the major renovations and upgrades in the rooms while still keeping the historic look and comfort of an old inn. Our room was spacious and immaculate with period furniture and modern conveniences. We were offered and took advantage of an afternoon tea tray with snacks, enjoying it on our small deck overlooking the pond and hills.Large sitting rooms off the dining rooms with books and games. Bar and pub. Beautiful grounds. Brand new function hall and large swimming pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. It's hard to get 5 stars from me, but I was impressed with the inn and we had a wonderful stay.
A quick one night stay for our anniversary. Beautiful property. We stayed at “Savoy Court” and were pleasantly surprise by the size of the room. My wife enjoyed the soaking tub with complimentary bath salts. Staff was wonderful. Dinner in the Van Horn room was slightly subpar for the price (specifically the “stuffed” mushroom appetizer and under seasoned halibut) but ambiance and service made up for that. Lynn, our server was working both dining rooms and bar. It seems everyone there wears many hats and it is very much a team atmosphere. The one major drawback was all of the construction on the new house on site. We couldn’t really enjoy having the doors/windows open and it took away from feeling like we were surrounded by nature which is one of the main points of being there. If we had known, we probably would have gone somewhere else.
A beautifully restored inn with amazing views and one of the few fine dining restaurants in the Lake Winnipesaukee area. Our accommodations were in the Yorkshire room, which I believe is one of their larger rooms offering a private deck with access to the grounds. It was well appointed with a comfortable living room, large gas fireplace and separate bedroom area. The dining room was inviting and elegant with white tablecloths, good service and delicious food. Breakfast is included along with snacks in the evening. Small wood panel bar. Many large fireplaces throughout the inn would make it a wonderful place to stay in the fall and winter.
The Manor on Golden Pond was exquisite in every way. It is a beautiful place where the inn keepers have attended to every detail from the pillows to the towels to the tea service in the afternoons. Breakfasts were incredible and we ate a fine meal in the casual pub--delicious. Everyone on the staff was lovely. We will be back and we highly recommend this gem.
We loved our weekend stay at the Manor on the Golden Pond. The service was impeccable. Megan and the team took such good care of us and were very patient with my elderly mother’s requests-thank you.||Our room (Churchill) had a wonderful view of the lake and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is all brand new and the bath very comfortable. I am sure Churchill would have enjoyed his bath.||We had excellent breakfast menu and the gluten and dairy pancakes were really delicious. Our lunch was very nice on the patio and dinner at the main restaurant was fantastic. Great selection of wines as well.||Overall really fantastic stay. I am only giving it 4 because all the renovations are not done, mainly the Spa which looks to be amazing once open! We will be back
Where to begin? If you are looking for the perfect vacation spot, head for Squam lake in New Hampshire and stay at the Manor. The grounds are beautful, the staff is warm and welcoming, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious, and tea time provides a Victorian ambiance (The scones were delicious!). There is so much to do in the area for those who love the outdoors; your trip will be unforgettable!
This was our first time to the Squam Lake area, and we loved it. The Manor on Golden Pond was lovely.||We had a suite on the first floor that overlooked the MT's and the lake. It was private but you had the opportunity to meet people at the lovely, cooked breakfast every morning.
Love this place! The rooms, restaurant, owners, staff and location are all fabulous. We have been there several times and have always felt welcomed by everyone we have encountered. Rooms are clean and thereâs a nice variety of food on the menu.
This place was amazing, I took my wife and kids on a min vacation, it was amazing, the lake right across the street was clean and the kids loved every day we were there, great little spot for a mini getaway, there is a busy road so if you do bring yo
We had such a nice time. Friendly service. Food arrived fast and was truly delicious. Atmosphere and the lake view is wonderful. We loved the scallop and pork belly appetizer.
