Love this place! The rooms, restaurant, owners, staff and location are all fabulous. We have been there several times and have always felt welcomed by everyone we have encountered. Rooms are clean and there’s a nice variety of food on the menu. Their breakfast is not to be missed. It’s always different and always delicious.

I want to give a huge shout out to Molly and the entire team at the Squam Lake Inn for another spectacular New Years celebration!!! Since taking ownership Molly has taken the Inn to another level with impeccable accommodations and and a superstar staff. And chef Amanda ... the food is simply extraordinary!! And of course the company .... Kathleen Walsh Race and Jason!!! Molly... book my reservation now for next year and can't wait to see you all over the summer Happy New Year !!!

The Squam Lake Inn is a rambling old building near the center of the attractive village of Holderness. The Inn's name is a bit of misnomer -- the Inn is not "on" The lake nor did it appear to offer a view of the Lake that we could see ( the nearest arm of the lake is about a 5-minute walk away). Perhaps the view changes when the leaves fall from the trees in winter or if one has a second floor room. Our room, one of the apparent "budget" spaces. was small but had a very comfortable bed, a surprisingly large bathroom, and typical amenities. Breakfast was excellent, but it was the dinner that really made the visit outstanding for us. One of the best meals we had had within recent memory. Service for breakfast and dinner was excellent. The front desk was rarely attended during our stay -- probably due to staff shortages -- a phone number was posted for contacting staff. The wrap-around veranda had a variety of inviting rocking chairs but the outside temperature was a bit too cool to use them.

Not on the lake but in walking distance of it, this is a lovely place to stay. Beautifully decorated with some nice pieces and a good ambience. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. The bar/patio is pleasant, and wine and beer are good. Liked being able to make tea/coffee on the landing. Effusive staff, eager to please, but a request to sort an ill-closing bathroom not sorted. Dinner not available on Mondays/Tuesdays. But when we ate in, it was good.

A group of dear old friends stayed here for a reunion and it was lovely! Adorable, well appointed, clean rooms - comfortable beds. Food was amazing - breakfast was delicious and dinner was the best!! The home made cookies every afternoon were delicious and just added to the overall comfort of the Inn. Tay, heart and soul of the Inn, did everything from making beds to serving us wine and food! She is the very best!! Molly and Brenden - our hosts - were present and engaged and their love and dedication to their Inn was evident in everything at the Inn- from the gardens, to guest rooms to food to decorations! We will be back!

Was a prefect place to enjoy a New England autumn. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing both days the staff was very kind and filled with valuable information about Squam lake and the sites to see. We hope to come back in. June

Wonderful B&B with all the amenities! Cozy and thoughtfully decorated, the inn gives you a warm greeting from the moment you step in the door. The rooms are very clean and pristinely kept. The breakfast was fantastic, and was enjoyed in a comfortable dining room. The staff was very friendly and helpful to any needs you had. While not directly on the water, Squam lake is only a very short walk down the street. I would highly recommend staying here!
