The Kauai Inn - Inn in Lihue - 2430 Hulemalu Rd, USA

This review is late but not never. We were so pleased with the friendliness and hospitality of the front desk. Richard, Briana, and Alicia were so gracious and helpful. Loved that they rescued their resident mascot Kitty. If you are not snobbish about the rooms being a little dated you will love this Inn and its setting. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Very laid back atmosphere; we even snuck to breakfast in our lounge wear. Hoping this little get-away hotel will stay like this until we can visit again.

This is just charming. Staff are friendly and efficient, the morning breakfast bar in the courtyard is the BEST way to start the day. Pool is refreshing, Rooms are clean and the views from them are nice! Location is very close to the shore shops, restaurants and the beach. A couple of organized activities as well as corn hole, teather ball, a ring toss and a challenging (kids) putting green. They have coolers for free use.

My husband and I stayed here over the past week and I will seriously recommend it to everyone I know! The location was perfect! 10 minutes from the airport, and just a quick drive to every other location we wanted to see! The parking was free, and there was breakfast provided every morning, which was so nice! Some of the best accommodations for us was the board games they had that you could take to your room and play, the outdoor games available, and the beach amenities! My husband and I didn't have a lot of room in our suitcases for towels and other beach gear, and the Kauai Inn provided beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and snorkeling gear! I loved staying here, and am telling friends of ours to book it soon!

My family and I had a wonderful time at Kauai Inn. We will come back here! All the staffs are kind and nice. I also like the fruit they served in the morning. It would be perfect if they have more choice for breakfast like bread, waffles. Something not too sweet. There are games in the yards and there are peacock and chickens everywhere. And great Mountain View from the room. Five stars!!! Beautiful people and beautiful places here!

We had the most wonderful time at the Kauai Inn. The staff is exceptional. They have outdoor games, so fun for the kids. They organized a Ukulele night on Friday and offered free drinks and hot dogs. They have bunch of nice amenities. The rooms are outdated but very comfortable and clean. The view is amazing. I highly recommend it!

Oldest inn in Kuaii but was redone. Continental breakfast was hot cereals, plentiful fresh fruit and delicious bakery. Free roaming chickens and roosters were plentiful and nice that earplugs were available for those who didn’t find them unique. I loved when peacocks roamed the grounds. Back yard was spacious with many games: corn hole, jenga, discs, music one night , etc. pool was small and towels were changed on a confusing schedule. Very helpful employees

We had an awful experience with this hotel. Online photos are heavily edited and don't match reality. The room was small, outdated, and not cleaned properly. Despite our request to cancel, the manager refused. False advertising, unhelpful staff, and an overall disappointing stay. Would not recommend. Way overpriced. They have a big cat tower in the reception area, and tell me that they don't have cats.

Was a decent property with nice staff. The selling point of this property is the staff. Pros - close to airport - friendly staff - free snorkeling gears, beach chairs and towels - free parking - free breakfast - saw some peacocks walking around - I had to checkout a bit late the staff was kind and accommodating delays. Cons - there are lot of roosters in the property, they will wake you up by 4 am - the bed wasn’t too comfortable - my room floor was a bit sticky For sure do not expect it to be a like a resort but for an Inn it’s great.
