The Hat - Sandwich shop in Brea - 1210 E Imperial Hwy, USA

This is a place I usually go for a late-night snack. The food looks really appetizing and tastes great. Every time I go, I eat onion rings and pastrami sandwiches, and I'm satisfied every time I eat them. Even if there are a lot of people, the service is fast and prompt, so you don't have to wait long. I'm a fan of this old restaurant. I like the atmosphere, but it is a clean place. I will go often in the future.

The hat never disappoints. This location is great service was fast and friendly. I had forgotten how large the portions are. Trust me you can share. This place was packed when we were there so wait times a a very. Love the wet fry’s, onion rings and pastrami sandwich is still amazing. You definitely need to try The Hat if you are near a location.

I love this place, I've been eating their PASTRAMI'S for 60 years!! BUT today my 1st disappointment was they would only give me 1 small bag of Chile's for my pastrami. I always need at least 2 bags to enjoy with my pastrami. 2nd the meat was all Shredded, no nice slices at all!! Another restaurant going downhill!

Fun, super busy place. Great decor, very clean. Fast service. We had the pastrami sandwich and a Turkey burger. The burger was good. Not special or unique but fresh and prepared and served well. Portion size was good. The Pastrami was very large served on a hoagie role. Meat was moist but did not have a great flavor. Just ok. We are glad we tried it but probably would not go back. Clearly a popular spot and very well run. Just not for us.

We were heading back home to Az. and stopped off at The Hat! We have visited once before at another location but had to try again. Amazing!! If you're a fan of pastrami this is the place for you. We also got a small fry that was put in these bags. (see pics) That small fry was enough for two people minimum. I have a pretty good appetite and I could only eat half of the sandwich. When ever I return to L.A. I definitely will be stopping by one of these places again. Give it a try, what do you have to loose? If this review helps put a 👍🏼

I ordered the pastrami dip, a large fry and large soda. Total came to just under $21. Serving size was big enough for me to have enough leftover for another meal. Everything came out fresh and fast. By the time I filled my soda, they were calling my number to pickup my food. The flavor of the pastrami was delicious, and the fries are potatoey but still crispy. Large fry is more like 2 large fries, but only $1 more than the small, so why not, right?

The pastrami sandwich here is juicer and tastes better than some of the other locations. Love the drive thru and friendly service.
