Every year we go for tea. We found The Ginger Room
and it’s a hidden gem!
The tea is amazing, the sandwiches were delicious, and the pastries were adorable!
The owner Karl is amazing! He opened this place to have an authentic tea experience like his home in the UK. Karl is so kind, bubbly, and a accommodating.
You do need a reservation so plan ahead!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Ginger Tea House in Alpharetta, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The ambiance of this place is truly amazing. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor, soft lighting, and cozy seating create a perfect setting for a relaxing time. What stood out even more than the ambiance was the outstanding customer service. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They made sure I felt comfortable throughout my visit, and their knowledge of the tea menu was impressive. They recommended a delightful happy tea that I thoroughly enjoyed. Now, here's where their exceptional service truly shone: They accidentally forgot to bring out my dessert. However, when I mentioned it to them, they not only apologized sincerely but also gave me the dessert, on the house. This kind of gesture speaks volumes about their commitment to customer satisfaction.
It's a perfect spot for tea enthusiasts and those looking for a serene, cozy place to unwind. The combination of a fantastic ambiance and exceptional customer service makes this place a hidden gem in Alpharetta. I'll definitely be returning to enjoy more of their offerings in the future.
Where do I begin. The Ginger Room is exquisite! From the decor to the food to the service. Everything was top tier! Perfect way to celebrate my milestone birthday! Thank you for a magical experience!
The decorating is beautiful and eclectic yet still comfortable. The house is historic, and the owners and employees are full of knowledge and are very fun to talk to. There is more than enough food to make you feel satisfied, and there are SO MANY OPTIONS for delicious teas! There is not a dress code, but I would recommend dressing up and making an event out of your visit.
Visited here a back in 2022, loooovveeeddd it!
Aesthetically pleasing. Beautiful design & the FOOD was sooo good! Authentic British treats, tea, & vibes.. Also, the story behind this place is do adorable. Family, and black owned :) Every lady definitely should try thid experience “Afternoon High Tea” is a wonderful experience. Customer service is top tier Definitely recommend & must try.I’ll be back soon for sure!
We had a reservation for 8 for a Christmas treat. After suggesting we were being ‘upgraded’ to a private room, that was the only space with 8 seats together. A 20% gratuity was added to our bill which we would have added on our own. However, we waited THIRTY minutes for any server to even approach us. Then, it took THIRTY minutes to receive our food. The tea was served after our food was presented. The food was good, and the tea service was fun, but I’m not sure we’ll return. It was a very expensive tea for ‘meh’ service.
Very fun afternoon! An hour and a half was more than enough time to eat through our tea and snacks. The array of sandwiches and desserts were very good and there was a massive amount of tea choices. The decorations are very cute! Service was also great!
We had a girls day here and had the best time! It was a chance to dress up and have a good time with tea and treats. Reservations are required and we had to book a couple months in advance so book asap. The owner is from south London and I believe the treats are authentic to England. We did afternoon tea which is cold items and high tea is slightly more expensive with hot options (I believe). The afternoon tea was roughly $62 a person for 3 teas and treat items. The scones, by the way, were excellent! I’m not a scone person but wow, these were somewhat soft and crumbled in your mouth perfectly. You get 1.5 hours which was plenty of time and plenty of gifts available in the lobby. The reason I gave it 4 stars was due to service. Our waitress didn’t seem fully familiar with the menu and a couple teas were sold out for our 12:30 appt. I’d still recommend the ginger room for a girly day date and a fun experience. Y’all will have a good time!
