The Gardens at West Maui - Featured Reviews (247)
I never leave reviews. I highly wouldn’t recommend this place. They’re not downright horrible but there were dead flies everywhere throughout our apartment. You could immediately tell they never cleaned the apartment in preparation for our stay. We asked them TWICE to just come in and clean up the dead flies, and they never did. The front desk worker even wrote it down. However, they did come 15 minutes prior to our checkout to clean…
Additionally, in the entire week we stayed there, they did 0 house keeping. They gave no new towels, sheets, etc. They request you take out the trash during your checkout which is fine. They said they haven’t done housekeeping since Covid.
Bottom line, the place is at best fine. The apartment isn’t as nice as it looks in the pictures. It’s more of a motel. The location is good, right by beaches. In my opinion, it’s just worth spending a little bit more money to get a better stay. They’re really not that cheap in the first place.
Thanks for listening to my ted talk
Booked here for a week we were in apartment 201 on the ground floor. Nice and clean with outside patio and chairs. We had paper products and washing up liquid, bin bags etc supplied as well which saved on the shopping list. Pool was nice and quiet on the couple of occasions we used it. Bus stop a 2 minute walk away and being over 55 it was free on proof of age. Beach a 5 minute walk away but it was busy. The only thing that would have been nice would have been a couple of beach chairs to use but not a deal breaker. Would stay here again
Absolutely a great location and neighborhood. Dont expect a hotel vibe or staff there for service, it's basically an apartment complex and we barely talked to any staff, that was great! Felt like i owned a place in Hawaii. Very well kept grounds, clean large rooms with washer, dryer, BBQ grills and a cute little pool and hot tub. You will be woken up by roosters but that is every where on the islands and to be expected. Easy walk to several bays, great snorkeling spots, boogie boarding, and floating on tubes. We ventured out twice and each time was ready to be back to the condo and quiet beaches and restaurants nearby.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Gardens at West Maui during my vacation to Maui island, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm aloha spirit and hospitality. The resort's lush tropical gardens provided a serene and picturesque backdrop for relaxation.
The accommodations were spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, offering modern amenities while still embracing the island's natural beauty. I particularly enjoyed the breathtaking views just walking distance and overlooking the Pacific Ocean and nearby mountains.
What truly set Gardens at West Maui apart was the exceptional customer service provided by the staff. From arranging local excursions to offering insider tips on the best places to explore on the island, they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was memorable.
Overall, I highly recommend Gardens at West Maui to anyone seeking a tranquil and luxurious retreat in paradise. I can't wait to return and create more unforgettable memories in this stunning resort and in budget friendly.
The place needs security at night ||Doors security tight ||Bug and ants free. Needs more friendly staff, activities within the hotel. Can provide more non-stick cookware. People upstairs were very noisy, couldn't sleep some nights. Other than that the place was fine.
We just arrived home from 3 weeks at The Gardens at West Maui. We loved the location. Very close to Napili Bay and Kapalua Bay, both great beaches and easy walking to both. This is our 3rd trip to Maui and 1st time at this location. The Gardens at West Maui is apartment style rooms and you can stay on the floor level or level 2. You will need to climb a set of stairs. Upon check in we found ourselves in a ground floor room with a lanai that faced a hedge with no view what so ever. Considering we were here for 3 weeks, it seemed kind of bleak. Initially I contacted the management and they said no options except to move to the room directly above us at the end of 1st week however the room was smaller with one bathroom as compared to the room we had which had 2 bathrooms. We decided to not move but early the next week I contacted management again regarding a hot tub issue on the site (seemed to be cold) and mentioned again that we would prefer a 2nd level room considering our length of time. After a bit of back and forth (I know its Jenga to assign rooms), they offered a 2nd level room which met our needs for the remainder of the stay. We really did appreciate this! The kitchens are well stocked, decent cooking utensils and pans, 2 BBQ's on-site, a pool (unheated but not really that cold-we are Canadian and it felt refreshing), a hot tub. The pool area was never crowded and we went most days at the end of our day after beach. The grounds are well kept and the plants are stunning, everything is clean. The bed in the first unit was well used and on the verge of end of life but the bed in 2nd unit was great! Tons of towels in the units which I appreciate. The chickens are everywhere as there are private yards beside The Gardens but we did not mind the crowing and got used to it. I would stay here again. Great value for the points I exchanged through RCI and I loved the area so much. Thanks to the resort staff for your work!
Near beautiful sandy beaches, snorkeling beaches, and tide pool beaches. We put 4 in a studio room, so it was tight, but enjoyable. AC was great, pool, full kitchen and laundry.
We really enjoyed our visit here as we are not "fancy" people :) The units were updated not that long ago and provided us with all the amenities we needed. Comfortable beds and other furniture. The unit was VERY clean which we appreciated the most. Had a few small issues and the maintenance staff were amazingly quick to address them. Small resort overall and within 5 minutes walking to the Napili beach and 10 minutes to the Kapalua Beach. Perfect! No chairs or umbrellas available at the resort unless someone happened to leave something behind. We hope to be back again someday.
