Swing Low: Harriet Tubman Memorial - Sculpture in New York - St. Nicholas Avenue and, Frederick Douglass Blvd, USA

I remember stumbling upon this memorial statue three years ago and being in awe!! Such a beautiful and intriguing depiction of this historical woman and her work. I appreciate it all the more after watching "Harriet" recently. Hope to visit again! Definitely worth going out of your way to see.

Salute to Harriet Tubman standing majestically. But the live cotton plants in the planters around the base was quite off-putting....🤷🏿‍♀️🤷🏿‍♀️.

We were going around Harlem with an old guide so we were so surprised when we found this magnificent statue that fully expresses the energy of Harriet Tubman. The statue is reached with symbols and the location where is placed is also extremely meaningful: as we were admiring the skirt/train a metro passed below us! Fantastic.

Its an amazing statue to look up to and tall to she will guide you through life. 😌

Gun violence vigil march and speak out against more police in black communities

On March 10, 2020, which is Ancestor Tubman's Birthday, I have invited to sing 2-Songs: "LIFT EVERY VOICE AND SING," and "STAND UP" from the Harriet Tubman film. This will be my first visit, but I know that I will love being part of what the day represents. I absolutely love having the opportunity to honor this great woman.
