Choices, choices, choices. Lots of variety and the quality is excellent. Everyone should be able to find something to suite their tastes. Vegan options, gluten free options, and fully customizable menu. The portions are generous with well prepared and fast service. Plenty of drink options from fountain drinks, bottle drinks, smoothies, and bubble teas. Poke bowl/wrap options, soups, hibachi dinners, traditional take-out, sushi, extra sides and appetizers. -- Hibachi chicken - tender and succulent with an appropriate amount of sauce, onion and zucchini was properly just slightly firm. Hibachi vegetable - had the onion and zucchini, but also mushrooms, carrots, and broccoli. Also cooked with a delicious sauce and tender with slight crisp. The yum yum sauce was provided at the table and not an overly sweet version. Complemented the rice perfectly.

Over-hyped. Consistently disappointed and will not return to give another dime. My spicy tuna roll had slices of cucumber larger than my chopsticks and stuffed full with them, way too much cucumber!!! Very little actual spicy tuna smeared on top. Sushi rice is also very overcooked. Not to mention the cheap soy sauce. If you order Hibachi steak, be sure to ask for light mushrooms or you'll get mostly mushrooms and not steak. Twice I've received only four small pieces of steak in my order and the rest was mushrooms. The very best sushi, in Lynchburg, can be found at Oshii in Waterlick Plaza.

My only complaint is the food, which I feel like should've been above everything. The people were super nice, and it was extremely clean and had a good vibe. I got the chicken udon soup and a Philadelphia roll. It was the most plain chicken udon soup I have ever had, and the roll was average. I even tried adding soy sauce to the udon soup, and it did nothing. I hate to rate so poor, but there was no flavor, and my meal was $20

From the entrance, the place seemed nice. They had quite a variety in their menu, including poke bowl, sushi, udon, and lo mein. They also offered bubble tea for drinks. The employees were super sweet and pleasant. We dined in and they were constantly checking in with us, in case we needed anything. The customer service was top notch, I never had this good of a customer service before. One of the best asian cuisine in Lynchburg.

I love Suzaku! However, I paid seven dollars for the seaweed salad and this is how much I got. I’m pretty disappointed because I spent $30 on all of my food. If they weren’t closing, I would have gone back in.

I used to come here a lot when I was living in Lynchburg last year but it hasn't been the same for awhile. Me and my partner come down from Roanoke and before, maybe a year or so ago it was only 20-25 for both of us to eat and get large bubble teas and still have left overs but when we went today everything seemed smaller, specifically their bubble teas, and was more expensive. Their bubble tea used to only be 4.99 for a large, then 5.29, and it's now 6.29 for a smaller amount. I understand times are changing and Lynchburg is a growing college town but its ridiculous our bill was 36 dollars for 4 items (the chicken hibachi, chicken lo mein, and two smoothie bubble teas) while also waiting 10 minutes just to get to the register for a pickup order. This will definitely impact us on choosing to dine here in the future.

This place was a last minute decision for us. I originally suggested somewhere else, but our local friends suggested Suzaku Cafe, so I went along with it. I'm so glad we made that decision because the food was incredibly fresh, all home made, and the employees were very sweet. I ordered the Philadelphia roll (my favorite roll to get anywhere), the orange chicken and fried rice special, and spring rolls. The food came out quickly and tasted so good! The orange chicken didn't taste like your average Chinese restaurant orange chicken. The sauce tasted home made and delicious, and the chunks of chicken were large and juicy with a crispy breading. Their egg rolls and spring rolls are home made and will change your life! The orders came with a huge serving of yum yum sauce, duck sauce, and soy sauce. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting. We WILL be returning!

9/23/23 Tried their fillet mignon lo mein this time. The noodle was alright; the well-done meat was alright; the presentation was alright. The menu says served with cabbage, but it really just came out as meat, noodle, and cabbage with sauce. I was hoping for some other vegetables since most Chinese restaurants usually add other vegetables like carrots and onions. Add-on per vegetable is $1.50 or $2.00. I did not add any, but I sure did like their broccoli last time I came. Otherwise, service was good. The front cashier was nice albeit the interaction was short. Free drink as a student to use for your advantage. 9/9/23 Looking at the high rating on Google Maps, I couldn't help but wonder if the taste is truly good. Unfortunately, I had a mediocre experience. It is my first time, so this review might not be a fair opinion on the restaurant. I will change the review after I try another menu from here. I have this rating up because the overall review I see on Google Maps does not reflect how I felt about the restaurant today. I got the shrimp and (rib-eye) steak hibachi with fried rice. Positive: Free fountain drink for students!!! The portion size is great. They give you food filled to the brim of the to-go box container. I love the sauteed vegetables. They were fresh and I love the taste of soy sauce and the vegetables together. They brought the food to me in less than 10 minutes. It was super-fast. I was glad the food was generally not too salty. They are attentive with people who are trying to order. I was reading the menu for a while and the cashiers (there were two) took turn asking me to make sure if I was helped. Yum-yum sauce is pretty good. Not too salty and not too sweet; just enough taste to complement the hibachi. Negative: The "rib-eye" steak was thin and overcooked. I will try fillet mignon next time though. The shrimp did not have any shrimp flavor. It was just another bland protein. The rice they use seems to have no taste of its own. It felt like the rice was there as filler carb. Guess that makes it a good option as fried rice for hibachi though. The ratio between the carb to meat to veggies wasn't great. I also hope they do not use the same rice for sushi... The restaurant feels a bit worn down. Maybe it's the furniture that gives this feeling, but I think redesigning the interior soon will be nice. TL:DR Don't get rib-eye steak and shrimp next time. Avoid getting hibachi (balance between the food group is off) Get their sauteed veggies one way or another. Service is decent for a place favoring take-out, but you can dine in if you want with no extra cost to you. Just take-out the food. They serve in a to-go box anyways.
