Super 8 by Wyndham Sioux City/Morningside Area - Featured Reviews (406)
By far the worst hotel i've ever stayed at. The fire alarm was broken. The toilet seat was falling off the toilet. There was no hair dryer. The safe did not work. The TV did not work. The first room they put us in smelled like a horrible sewer. There was no kleenex. The taweks were torn and shredded, and there was only one per person. When I approached the front desk asking for either a discounted rate or refund due to all the deficiencies, I was told someone else had to deal with it. A day later, it still has not been dealt with. I would sleep in my car before ever staying here again.
This was supposed to be a nonsmoking hotel. It smelled like smoke so bad we had to sleep with the window open. Every area was dirty. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The TV did not work. The microwave was disgusting. |I received a survey about my stay three days after I left. I gave an honest review with pictures. Wyndham was going to contact the property owner to fix the issues. The next day I received unauthorized charges from the hotel. FOUR DAYS AFTER CHECKING OUT!
Very dated motel, definitely recycled from previous brands. Bed was weirdly soft, not sure why. Pillows are small and nothing at all extra in the room. No signage, no paper, Kleenex, appeared to be clean-ish. Big thing is check out is 10 AM which isn't posted in obviously. Not the worst motel I've stayed in but wouldn't stay her again, ever.
We arrived to a room where the floor was incomplete. Boards over the carpet. They changed 110 for this room. We left and got a refund. But know that refund takes 7 days to go through. Do NOT GET a ROOM HERE.
It was a decent place at first and for the 3 nights we were there. The small problems were that Our fridge didn't have any shelves in it and it didn't get cold. The lady at the desk for the first 2 nights was very nice and helpful, she gave me the price for their discounted weekly rate before my husband and I left for work. However, when we got back to the hotel after work to pay the weekly rate...a different lady was at the desk and she had an attitude as soon as I walked in the door and she refused to give me the discounted weekly rate that I had been given that morning from the other lady. The price she was telling me was almost 200 more a week than the previous lady had given me. The lady had guys hanging out in the lobby and outside the office. She was very rude and told me if I either needed to rent a room at her price or find somewhere else to go and not to be sitting/parked in their parking lot for more than 2-3 mins without a reservation or she would have to call the cops and have my car towed. She is the worst thing about the whole place. I haven't been back there, we found a hotel for the rest of our work stay(5 weeks) that's closer to our job site and $80 cheaper than the weekly rate we were given by the first nice lady.
My husband & workers have stayed here for months. They have been in town since May building the new Sierra store in town. We are business owners ourselves and would never handle our business the way these people do. They have terrible customer service and cancel rooms for people who have stayed there for long periods of time due to overbooking other peoples reservations. Save your hard earned money and go elsewhere.
Positive: The bed was comfortable. Negative: Check in took 15 minutes. I couldn't wash my hands because there was no bar of soap. When I asked, she handed me packets of shampoo. The bathtub was repainted and chipping. There wasn't a toilet paper holder, just a roll on the tank of the toilet. Etc. Negative: ""
EW EW EW!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! The first thing I noticed when I walked into the building was the smell of the carpet. It smelled like it hadn't been washed in DECADES. And by the looks of it, it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. The first room they gave me was on the top floor. The entire top floor smelled like cigarette smoke, I didn't even make it to my room before I decided to go back down to the office and ask for a room on a different floor. They were kind enough to move my room, but the room they gave me was disgusting. Very clearly NOT cleaned from the previous guest. The smell in this room was that of gutter water that had been tracked in on boots back in the 90s and left to marinate. Mildewy and rotten is the closest I can describe it. The toilet seat had been flipped up and there was urine on the rim of the toilet. Every surface in this motel room had grease or dirt smudged on it. The tub itself looked like it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in years. I was afraid to shower from fear of emerging with more germs after bathing in the scum bucket. The bed sheets had stains all over them. THE ELECTRICAL SWITCH WAS FALLING OUT OF THE WALL AND WOULD NOT TURN ON/OFF PROPERLY. I'm telling you, pay the extra $30 for a motel that doesn't give you the willies.

We had to spend the night unexpectedly due to some bad weather while traveling. I saw this hotel had similar/identical rates to other hotels nearby but had slightly larger rooms, so we booked a couple rooms and hoped for the best. Let me tell youâ¦t
Our family usually stays at a different Hilton hotel when in Sioux City, but this time we decided to try this hotel instead. Hilton hotels are usually without any serious complaints and this is no exception.

Anne was absolutely amazing from the first time I spoke with her, through the duration of the 8 weeks. When my Daughter was awarded a Summer Internship and we were responsible for finding housing for 8 weeks in Iowa, to say I felt over whelmed was a
I've never had a bad experience there from my early childhood memory when it was a movie theater, to musicals, to concerts, and the symphony. The staff are very professional and it's even nice to come back and see their familiar face!
I was in town for a month, Abby and the team have created an amazing environment that is friendly, motivating, and challenging. Every coach I worked with was focused on form and safety. Itâs been more than a year since I had last done CrossFit, Coa
