Did not stay at the lodge, but the beaches were very nice! Clean, no trash litter! No dogs allowed so keep that in mind due to the sea turtle nesting site found all around the beach.
we stayed in 521. The parking space was terrible. its an L shaped turn the second you get in the gate. I estimate I spent a day trying to get in an out of it over the course of two weeks. The staff (little contact we had) was nice. We had some kind of grunge backing up in the master br sink the moment we got there. It was addressed and cleaned right away. Then the dishwasher backed up grunge into the kitchen sink, that too was addressed. The traps on the bathroom sinks dont work, there is no plug for the tub in kids bath. The TVs are SMALL. The one in the master br needs to be updated. There are about 5 remotes for the front room ( make that simpler) There are no locks on the siding glass doors to the balcony. The place has been updated and looks nice, the kitchen is well appointed. The location is good, the pools are REAL small and only one is heated, so if your coming come in the summer. No rel shopping except the usual shell shops and surf joints. The Key card thing was rediculous. We went through about 18 in 4 days. was told dont keep it near credit cards or cell phones. This is the 21st century, we have key cards and cell phones. Maybe up date with a FOB system. I would have to say I would stay here again just not in this unit. Pay attention to the reviews on local restaurants. They have been spot on. Lastly there is no gym. Modern people like to work out and carry credit cards. I was told I could go across the street to the Y and they would give me a discount. Hows about you provide this service for the customers instead. Im on vacation. Im not trying to work.
We loved the location of the condo and the beach access was great. The condo how ever was dirty and when we tried to do some cleaning on our own, to clean up the dead bugs, we found the vacuum cleaner didn't even work. There was garbage left under the beds and dried garbage stuck to the wall behind the garbage can. The kitchen was also poorly stocked as far as dishes go. There was also not enough seating for 6 adults in the living area.
Plenty of room for family of 4 adults 1 child. Closet to beach access.Had great stay with everything we needed.
stayed @ Summer Winds (532) complex on June 22, 2009 - June 25, 2009 for a brief get away w/ family. everyone was impressed with the unit & enjoyed the scenic view from the room's balcony each evening after touring the savannah/tybee area. our family has decided that we will come back next year if we can get a condo located in the Summer Winds complex of Beachside colony. IT'S THE PLACE TO STAY WHILE ON TYBEE. The pools are smaller than most complexs, however, the beach view made up the difference. It was just absolute awesome. The bartender was quick to prepare the drink orders & each was made exactly as requested. The only thing that our condo lacked was a dvd player which was not such a big deal after all since we did'nt have time to watch movies with some much more to do instead
Upon first glance it looked great (536) but it was actually pretty dirty. Tub was dirty and so were floors. The balcony furniture was also rusty and dirty. It needs a serious update as well. Like so many things in life, things are not what always what they appear on the surface.
Great complex right on the beach ⛱️. Restaurant has great food.
Beachside Colony is a great location. We've stayed in two different units and both were nice.
Fantastic place for bourbon and rye! Found a few things I had been looking for! They have an excellent selection and some hard to find and allocated bottles! Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable and in some cases below
We honestly visited this place because of the reviews and we love visiting "local" places. We are so HAPPY that we did! They are only open with reservation due to VERY LIMITED seating. Simon will bake you anything you want, even vegan pastries, if yo
My wife and I stayed at Surf Song for a week 09/22-29/2023. We came to Tybee Island to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We stayed in the Sunrise suite, and it was absolutely amazing!!! Waking up every day to that beautiful view and sunrise ove
Amazing food and coffee and service! The açaà bowl was outstanding, and I got an ice agave nectar oat milk latte that was so surprisingly good (they do not offer flavored syrups, so that is what was recommended). The Sammy was very good as well. Al
Great coffee and breakfast burritos. The staff were all nice and quick and the place was pretty clean. They have some good tybean merchandise to choose from too. I do have to say that their bathroom though was odd to say the least... Other than that
Blown away!! We (sadly) discovered this place on our last night in Tybee, but so glad we did! The sushi was incredible!! Donât be fooled by its location which is a little tourist trappy. This place IS the real deal and IS NOT a gimmicky beach strip
I went awhile back. We rented a golf cart and drove it here. There were plenty of parking spots. Admission was $12 for an adult. Your ticket includes both the light station and Battery Garland across the street. The light station has 178 steps and no
Amazing place!! The ice cream was delicious and there were a ton of toppings to put on! The place is really nicely organized and there is plenty of candy that I have trouble finding at a normal grocery store or even a candy store! The deserts are DEF
We always enjoy Tybee. Having grown up on Wilmington Island and dealing with changing beach through the years.... I can honestly say that it is better now than ever before. Decent slope from sand to shells to water and waves. We love South, Mid beach
