Straz Center for the Performing Arts - Performing arts theater in Tampa - 1010 N Macinnes Pl, USA

Beautiful building and layout. Right on the rivers edge. There are lovely little cafe places and little umbrella seating for eating and drinking. There is a parked rail car eatery to buy food right on the walkway. Large, spacious and feels very safe. Beautiful walking and scenery

The Straz Center is a fantastic facility for seeing performing arts. It's spacious, well laid out, and well maintained. The volunteers are incredible and valued as they politely keep the flow moving, give direction, and oversee the sea of people. The performance halls are beautiful, and the layout gives most seats a great view of the stage. The only drawback that I found was trying to get to the restroom during intermission. Avoid it if you can. So many people and so little time. After waiting in line, I had to take my shoes off and run up the stairs to get back in time.

Saw the nutcracker on 12/23/23 at 7pm. Sold out. The staff and place is wonderful. The nutcracker itself was amazing. The parking was a huge issue because of another event at the same time near there. Not the straz issue. Only complaint about the venue is that it's too bad there isn't a walking row down the middle. Having an aisle seat means your moving constantly for those that don't respect others time and show up late.

Best Place to Have Live entertainment Definitely will. Be throwing a few events here, great atmosphere and Riverfront views

My first time going to the Straz. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful. I had to use Accessibility seating. And from the first guy at The Valet parking named Willy, to the usher lady Marty everything was a good experience. I saw Beetlejuice and the theater was beautiful. The only thing they need to work on is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. The police officer was very kind as well and sweet. I'm looking forward to the next show that I will see there. Thank you

Very friendly staff and very organized. There are no restaurants close by, but there is a coffee shop that serves sandwiches and another place that serves sandwiches and salads. The theater itself is roomy and clean. Bathrooms are nice and plenty of stalls ( just don't wait till after the show).

Visited the Startz Center with my wife, where we regularly volunteer. Today, we attended the Coco in Concert event, and it was simply amazing! The live band added another layer of greatness to this already fantastic movie. The Startz Center continues to be a wonderful place for both volunteering and enjoying memorable events.

We love the Straz! On our river walks, we can always stop by the ticket window and have a great experience chatting with the employees about the current and upcoming shows. It is their enthusiasm (not the shows themselves) that reel us in every time. Our next show is "Beetlejuice" and we are so excited! Thank you to the ticketing department for all the positivity, and great recommendations.
