Exceptional experience upon entering the host was welcoming and accommodating. We sat at the bar and the young lady offered exceptional professional service truly taking care of any needs we had. The restaurant space is so well done it's modern with the twist of old school service I grew up on. This will be my new spot for happy hour and family friends functions
I visited during restaurant week and had a delightful experience. I opted for the burrata, steak, and oysters. While the presentation of the dishes was impressive, the flavors didn't quite live up to expectations. I requested my steak medium but it arrived closer to medium-well. While not a major issue, it's a detail that meat connoisseurs, who prefer their steaks cooked to precise specifications, would likely notice. Nonetheless, the service was amiable, the ambiance enjoyable, and the timely arrival of our orders added to an overall positive dining experience.
I honestly think this restaurant should be upfront about their seating policy. They don’t seat customers until the party is complete, two people from my party were running late, I begged them to let us seat they insisted they won’t until my friends show up. I’ve never heard this kind of policy before ever since I ve been in America.
I think when people make reservations this instruction should be in the confirmation email so we can decide if we want to do it or not!
Food was okay and I’m really glad about the fireworks and birthday celebration, my friends had the same point of view as well.
Absolutely loved it. Very good staff. Everyone was professional and kind. The food was served fast and clearly fresh. I say this one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant in a long time. The best part was our waitress, Sierra. She was attentive, asked if wer were celebrating anything which we were. It was my mother's birthday 🎂 🥳 After our dinner, Sierra brought us our dessert with a birthday candy and candles for my mom. She is a gem 💎 Great experience 👍now we love this place and will be back for sure. Thank you to the whole staff.
In one word: Underwhelming
The facilities: Furnishings were worn and not nicely maintained. The table next to us rocked so badly a man's wine spilled on his date, but it was not taken out of service or leveled. Two more parties seated at that table afterward also asked staff to move them but they kept seating new couples there regardless. Flooring had an accumulation of dirt and stains. Broken tiles further detracted from the experience. Good luck if you use a wheelchair because the hand soap in the bathroom is mounted way too high to be accessible.
Food: Portions for the sides were smaller than expected for the price. Less than a dozen asparagus spears for $20? When toasted sourdough is served with a buratta cheese appetizer, you would normally expect crostini/toast slices. It came with salad croutons. We asked our server to help us avoid ordering spicy things, yet we were served an appetizer covered in jalapeños without a warning during ordering or serving. They were not listed in the menu copy or disclosed by the server.
Service: Staff rarely checked on us. One steak was undercooked. The member of our party pointed it out to the server. She had to ask to have it cooked longer. Great service would have offered to fix it without being prompted. One plate also came out with a dirty streak on it.
While the prices and location would make one think of higher end dining, the results say otherwise. It was a Saturday night. The A team should have been on deck. I was not impressed. I don't plan on returning.
Our server Thomas gave us the ultimate experience! Me and my party were celebrating a birthday and from the beginning up until the end he gave us the upmost exquisite experience! Very kind gentleman, that was super attentive to me and my party!
This is a dope steakhouse that is classy but not all the way fancy. Come here instead of some of the other spots downtown if you want to keep it a little more casual. The bacon appetizer is amazing. The lil burgs are good too. The skirt steak was underwhelming and the short rib was better than that but still not amazing. Mac and cheese is fire 🔥🔥🔥. !! The mash potatoes was ok. Cheesecake and donuts were solid desserts. Overall a great experience and server was very nice and friendly, but a little bit slow. The food came out quick also!
Visited on a busy Saturday evening. We were celebrating a birthday with a group of 11 people. We were placed in a back (private type) room. Our waitress Neima never once had us feeling like we were isolated or forgot about. She handled all 11 personalities well and delivered exceptional service!! All the while outside of the room was busy as ever and she had tables there too. 10 out of 11 guests were happy with their food but all of us raves about the service. Would visit again if in Chicago.
