I wasn't sure what to expect for BBQ in New Hampshire but I was pleasantly pleased. I ordered Texas Caviar, creamed corn, cole slaw, chili, smoked turkey, and a meat called goodness. The caviar was OK but could have used more flavor. The same for the cole slaw. The creamed corn was excellent. The chili was very good worth a very nice flavor. There were plenty of chunks of meat, and it delivered a nice kick. The turkey was good but the goodness stole the show. It was truly outstanding. Great texture, great smell, great flavor. It stood head and shoulders above the offerings and the offerings were good. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 8.5.
I was not very impressed with this place. BBQ food is my favorite type of food and I was very excited to try this place out. They have a good selection of food to order but finding a good plate without buying everything individually was hard. The food was a little dry and a little bland. Probably because the young person cutting the meat just scraped away all the juice and flavors. The house sauces were good. I'll go back and give them one more try but I wasn't impressed with my first visit.

We had the pulled pork and brisket. It was good. Also had baked beans and coleslaw. The beans had a smoky flavor, yummy! The slaw was the best! Tastes exactly like my homemade slaw!
Went here on Mother’s Day and the service was still super quick! I had the pulled pork sandwich and tried some of my partners brisket. It was all absolutely delicious. The Mac n cheese was exactly the type I have in mind to pair with some excellent bbq. And as an added bonus the beer was great too!
While the food is the best BBQ I’ve had in a long time, the service is horrible. We ( a party of 2) entered at about 5pm on a Saturday. There were 3 lines formed and none of the employees knew who had arrived first. There was no manager in sight. I suggest to the owner to get develop a system where the customer takes a ticket ( like in a deli) and the employee calls the number to take that person’s order. I think it will improve your customer satisfaction scores/ratings immensely.
I've been here multiple times and it's a favorite Sunday lunch spot. I've lived most of my life in New Hampshire, and I'm by no means a barbecue expert, but I think their offerings are solid and always delicious. Good quality meat, and good quality sides. A good variety of options makes it a great place to bring a large group who wants to mix-and-match and share a meal.

Best BBQ spot I’ve had in New England by far and I’ve tried a lot.
I live in Portsmouth and I WILL be driving an hour on a regular basis to come here and get 2 or 3 double meat combo plates w two sides and cornbread so I can eat everything over the course of the following few days.
Brisket, pulled pork and ribs are on point, The Goodness should have been named The Greatness and each side was more impressive than the last.
Sauces kick everything up to an impossibly higher level and the self-serve pickle bar brought it all home.
I’m officially going to stop telling everyone that there’s no good BBQ this far North because Smokeshow’s top shelf meat (and potatoes and mac and beans and greens) game has proven that to be unequivocally false.
Five words for folks considering trying this place.

This is a great moderate hike close to Concord. I took the tower trail out to the fire watch tower and there is some moderate elevation gain on the way there. The path isnât too rocky though and the view is amazing from the top of the tower!
