This was a cool place to see. The museum curation was surprisingly pleasant, particularly with the multiple stories you could follow and the self-guided structure. Elegant old elevators were definitely unique - not something you get to experience everyday - and the restaurant is spiffy with good service (albeit a little overpriced). Good place for a dressier date.
Wanted to see this for a long time and finally saw it. Super easy to get you ticket and there's a little self-guided tour through historical stuff about the tower. Once you go up the old and super cool elevator you get to the eating area. You go out the sliding door and get a 360 degree view of Seattle from the tower. You can see so much of the city especially on a clear day.
Great views, great drinks and food, and a little piece of history. Definitely worth the entry fee, you won’t be disappointed. Going back soon since they updated the menu in the observatory, didn’t have room to try all the great options. If you haven’t been, you need to plan a trip to the Smith Tower and observatory!
A beautifully maintained building. The museum is nice and the history of the building is fascinating, but the real attraction is, of course, the viewing deck and bar. Staff from the ground up to the top are all very friendly, informative, and helpful. The cocktails were really nice, and the views were stunning. The observation deck does have a metal cage for safety, but well angled photographs are still possible.
The view is outstanding! We could see the Seahawks playing and hear the crowd in the stadium below. The restaurant and bar at top have great cocktails and food. It's very 1920's era with ornate carved medalions. Locals come up after the game. The ride on the period elevator is fun and there's a museum too.
Enjoyed our experience visiting the Smith Tower. The elevator is beautiful and the whole building has lots of character.
We enjoyed the views from the observation deck, followed by a drink and lunch at the bar, both of which were tasty.
We tried to follow the interactive story of a couple of characters but unfortunately a couple of clues for our characters seemed not to be functioning. Happily we followed enough clues to get a discount on our drinks in the bar.
So happy we stopped here! The historical display was interesting and the perfect thing to walk through while we waited for a table for our big group. The observatory deck was amazing (especially during sunset!!) And the bar was really cool!
Nice historical building and see the history of this building and Seattle. The view from the 35th floor was really great! I would recommend to visit this place when you visit downtown Seattle.
