We had a great time! We actually had paid for a different hotel for the week but was extremely disappointed after 2 nights so we went right next door and booked a room and we were not disappointed! The lazy river was my go to every day. The staff was amazing and super helpful. Room was clean and oceanfront. The restaurant downstairs had a great breakfast buffet. Kid friendly and safe. I would definitely stay there again. You can also see dolphins swimming by early in the morning!!!

Sand Dunes Resort Hotel Review Myrtle Beach, SC General factors: - Misleading offer on Booking. Photos do not correspond to reality - The general conditions of the hotel and room were generally somewhat embarrassing. Everything looks dirty and poorly maintained. - Someone entered the room without warning and took the luggage cart out into the hallway but did not clean anything at all. What was the point? - Sanitary factors: - Mold in children's pool - Mold in bathrooms - Floor quite dirty - All tables dirty - Dirty burners and smoke and smell of burnt oil when turning them on - Drain right on the beach where people bathe. Unpleasant smell - Cockroaches in the kitchen - Second day of stay, there is no water in the faucet. Nobody could shower and there was not even enough to wash their face. They delay us and damage the planes of the day. We were late for everything. According to reception, there was an emergency water cut. I understand that, however, we did not receive any notification. - Due to the poor hygiene, my daughters' feet and socks were always black. You can also see it on the bathroom towels that we placed on the floor after getting out of the shower. My wife and mother took time out of their vacation to clean the tables, etc. Did we come to work or to rest? - The neighbors make a lot of noise in the early morning and wake us up. The complaint is made to reception and after reception complained to the neighbors, they only got louder until approximately 3:00 am. So we didn't get quality sleep either. I calmly went to reception to report the situation and what I received was a poor response. The service was unprofessional and not at all customer-oriented. After making the complaint regarding the aforementioned faults, reception made the promise to “resolve it.” They sent someone to “clean” but this person only took out the trash. Nothing was cleaned, not even the towels or the bed linen were replaced. I think I was too patient and I am totally ashamed of my family. I took them on vacation after two years, plus my sister was visiting from Germany, and unfortunately it was a disaster. The experience at this place was definitely super disappointing.

this place is a horror! i had the worst experience at this hotel and i will never come back. night time was def the worst, feeling like roaches were gonna come in our rooms. baby roaches and big ones as well. the rooms were filled with sand all on the floor and appliances were rusty and molded. had to pay for all of this and no free breakfast? no. and the walls were disgusting as well. holes in walls, writings, dents, and rust on bed as well. will never come back to this filthy place. EVER.

This was undoubtedly the worst experience of my life. We booked this hotel for my 4-year-old niece's birthday and were very disappointed. Our four children were disgusted by the state of the pools; they were dirty and moldy. When I booked, I saw some very nice photos, but they were misleading. I feel scammed. The rooms were filthy, the bathrooms were disgusting, and the floor was dirty—I even had to clean it during our vacation. This is not what I expected for the prices they charge. Additionally, there was sand falling from the ceiling onto our beds. The service was terrible, and the employees were rude, seeming to hate their jobs. There are many more issues, but suffice it to say, I will never return here.

Condo 1906 is dirty! Please skip this condo if they give this room to you. This was the penthouse and you would have thought it would have been a great experience. The view was the best thing going for this place. This was the worst experience we ever had visiting Myrtle Beach. The price they charge for this place is terrible. I complained about things in the room and no one attempted to even come and look at yet fix it. Then restaurant is probably the best thing on this property. Thank goodness my family and I always travel with plenty of our own cleaning products. One of the bathroom sinks water wouldn't even go down the drain. This place hadn't been service, just as well as those elevators in the building. Just some much to say about this place. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU STAY HERE! FIND ANOTHER RESORT PLEASE!

This resort is decently nice. It's right on the beach and has a general store, pizza place, ice cream and restaurant. The biggest downfall is having a larger vehicle that will not fit in the parking garage. You have to fight to find a parking spot in one of the ground level parking lots that have few spots and are typically full. The spots were usually taken up by small cars and minivans that could easily fit in the garage. If the resort would only allow ground level parking for larger vehicles AND enforce it, that would be beneficial. Also, there is no elevator that goes to the ground level parking. It goes to the ground level parking LOT parking, which is a floor above the actual ground level. We had to lug all of our luggage from the ground level parking lot, up a winding stairway/ramp and then we were able to use a cart once we reached the parking lot. The check in staff weren't friendly either. This was our first time there, so we were obviously not familiar with the layout. My wife asked where we access our room and where to park a larger vehicle. He kept telling her to go into the parking lot and enter through the elevator. She tried to tell him that our van was to big to fit in the garage, and he said "that's why you go around and up the ramp" - whatever that meant. We eventually just figured everything out for ourselves, seeing as the check in staff wasn't overly happy to help!

Our room was very nice as it was an individually owned unit. The resort is nice for how many people there were there i guess but seemed over crowded. Parking was lacking and the parking garage was tight. Hallways and elevator were not very well cleaned or maintained. Onsite restaurant was good. Located pretty close to everything. Broadway at the beach, barefoot landing, main boardwalk, and outlet mall.

Been going here since 2022 and love it! It’s my go to place for family vacations or just a girls getaway. I definitely would recommend it to anyone as a getaway. As a travel coordinator myself I always like to try places out and experience it first hand before ever recommending it to my clients. My clients are like family so I only recommend or coordinate travels that I feel provide a sense of comfort and reliability. I would recommend this place for sure ❤️

Loved the pool, loved the area. Apartment was ok.. but definitely not what we paid for. We paid for a 2 bedroom w balcony. We got a studio on bottom floor. Notified them of the error & showed our receipt and still had to pay more to get the 2 bedroom
