Sakoon is without a doubt my favorite Indian restaurant in Mountain View, and it might even be my favorite one period.
The service is terrific, the ambience is cozy, and the food is absolutely delicious. This is some of the most aromatic stuff I’ve had in recent history. All for a very reasonable price. The food alone would be worth five stars, but they really took care of us here too. The dishes are served family style at dinner, so everyone can try everything if that’s your bag. Also, vegans/vegetarians rejoice; plenty of choices for you here.
Can’t wait to make it back for the lunch buffet.
Sakoon is low key Indian restaurant located in downtown Mountain View that features a broad menu and has lunch buffets for lunch.
The lunch buffet is $20 Mon-Fri and $23 for Sat-Sun.
Parking is easy in the lots behind the store
They also have a broad range of drinks or cocktails not part of the buffet that you can order.
They have some bomb butter chicken and fantastic fried fish and chicken 65.
They also have dessert options and even complimentary chai tea
Amazing place with delicious food at an unimaginable price. We were searching for food and were hungry. We landed to this place "Sakoon" and as the name suggests you will get also if you know what I mean. To the surprise they had buffet, with an amazing spread for both veg and non veg and that too for $22.99 plus tax onlyyyyyy. Food taste was amazingly delicious and had a decent mix of appetizers, and main course and 3 types of dessert. If you are looking for a good variety of Indian food.. this is the place in this locale!!!
Had a great time at Sakoon.
One of my go-to place for weekend lunch.
This place offers vegetarian option as well.
I loved the dal fry, paneer jalfrezi.
Deserts like Gajar Halwa, rice pudding and Gulab jamun was very tasty.
I wish they would add Dosa and garlic naan as well in the lunch buffet like neighboring restaurant.
They really have nice variety of all Indian food, the portions served are quite large..! The ambience is very nice.. located in the prime area..
I had the pleasure of visiting Sukoon Indian Restaurant on my first day in Mountainview, and it was truly a delightful experience. The restaurant is situated in a lively square, creating a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere.
As a fan of Indian cuisine, I decided to order the Achari chicken and the chicken sukoonwala. Both dishes were a treat for my taste buds. The chicken was tender and perfectly cooked, accompanied by a delightful blend of spices that gave it a delicious flavor.
For dessert, I tried the Rasmalai, and it turned out to be the highlight of the meal. The Rasmalai was simply the best I’ve ever had, with its rich, creamy texture and heavenly taste.
Overall, I would rate my dining experience at Sukoon 4 out of 5 stars. The food was fantastic, and the ambiance of the square added to the enjoyment of the evening. If you’re in the area and craving authentic Indian cuisine, Sukoon should be at the top of your list. Bon appétit!
Sakoon is a nice Indian restaurant. I've only been to their weekday buffets. Sometimes I wish they would have more variety for appetizers (missed indo-chinese options today) but they make you feel good with the overall experience and the taste. We sometimes go to Mantra and this place has far better customer service and much more tolerable spice level for the curries. No drinks were served with the buffet which is another thing missing but understandable if the crowd isn't much on certain days and they modify things due to that. Highly recommended!
Fantastic Indian buffet. Go there during weekday lunch for ~$27 after tax and tips. Food is very tasty with a mix of both vegetarian and meat options. Dessert was also great.
