This airport exceeded our expectations. It's impeccably clean, well-organized, and offers convenient water stations. Our first visit was met with swift queues, and the airport's aesthetics and decor added to the positive experience. The architecture is impressive, and the array of food options and gift shops are fantastic. While check-ins and immigration might require some time, arriving at least 2 hours before the flight is advised, considering it's the capital. Being early is a bonus with plenty of activities to enjoy at the airport. We would definitely choose this airport again.

One of the most conveniently located airports I’ve been to in the world! It’s very centrally located and it’s so quick and easy to get here via metro or car. It has the shortest distance from metro platform to airport security of any airport I’ve ever been to in dozens of countries around the world. And then from security to the gate is also very quick. The new Concourse E is really nice. The views out the plane windows when taking off or landing are great, especially if you’re facing DC and the National Mall. Note that Concourse A is a different story altogether, and is not nearly as good the others. But I never go there.

DCA is one of the easiest airports to get in and out of. It's a great travel experience. Always clean and lots of light. The TSA knows what it's doing here and gets you through security efficiently. Lots of options for dining on each concourse. For those driving in to park for the first time, pay attention because it can be a little confusing. If you're picking someone up on the arrivals level, that area can get pretty crowded. Have your guest meet you at the Northern end of pick up. It'll be easier. Also know that if you’re looking for a place to plug in and work the options are better at the far ends of each terminal. There are posts where you can plug in at the lower numbered gates, but those are limited and they aren’t really comfortable places to work. There are a few high top tables but no chairs. Your options are better as you go deeper into the terminals in the open areas. You should find better options for working and sitting.

Very clean. Staff was friendly. Definitely not set up for flights leaving in the snow. Our 8:40 flight was delayed 3 times and finally canceled and rebooked for 11:15am the next day!! Spent way more time here than I wanted to, but not their fault entirely.

I flew Southwest in and out of the airport so was only able to see the A terminal area. We got in late morning on a Tuesday and the airport didn't seem to busy. For a smaller airport, I didn't expect much, but it was a little confusing to find the rental car area. Once getting the rental car, it was a pretty easy exit to hop on the road and off to our destination. On our way out we got to the airport a couple hours before our flight. We dropped off our rental and started making our way back to the terminal area. I found the signs a little confusing, my ticket didn't say a terminal and I couldn't remember from our arrival so we just guessed what level we needed to be on. Security went fast and we were in before you know it. There was a small restaurant shortly after security and walls of snacks and more quick food along the walk to the gates. There are only a couple gates in the terminal area, with a bar in the middle, and the area gets pretty crowded. We weren't able to find a seat right away so we walked around a little bit before some flights boarded. The seats were worn and dirty, the floors looked like they haven't been cleaned in awhile. The chairs and area could use some updates to bring it to common/modern airport standards, but it is also to be expected for a smaller airport and one/area that may not be used for many connections. It would be nice to have more areas to eat your food and charge your devices. Overall, the airport is good for its purpose, its nice and close to the DC area and offers the essentials. The A gate area could use some cleaning and minor updates

was transiting thru Terminal B only, quite convenient to get between gates. The terminals are not alike modern airports which are sterile. The design of the roof and the dark floor tiles with mosaic designs at certain spots gives it an old train station feel. Not many f&b shops inside but enough to grab a quick bite.

This could be so cool. It has so much potential. Instead it has dust bunnies and outdated cramped restrooms. Candy and chips instead of real food options. Today there are so many ways they could have food here - order on an app and deliver to the terminal - there’s not much of an excuse for frito lay to be the best choice when people aren’t being fed on the plane and everyone is carrying on their lunch/dinner. So much potential here for a chic Mid-century modern terminal with street taco and hot dog kiosks. Edit: I found some food, but really it could be a lot better.

Great airport overall. It was clean, organized, and had a bunch of water stations to refill your water. We went here for the first time and it had generally quick lines for things. And there's some nice decor throughout the airport. Nice place overall and we'd come back.
