I tried to eat here an the food had a hair in it. We let the manager know an he still charged me when I left all my food.I tried the brisket before I found the hair an had no taste. They have cameras they can see I didn’t eat their food. Also the food has no taste. They didn’t charge my sister for her meal but charged me. I ate from the rice with someone hair in it. How many people are eating hair? The manager was laughing when he said sorry. I couldn’t figure out why people were walking out. I thought it was because they don’t have much food to choose from. But I’m guessing it’s from filthy place an bad staff. I paid for food I did not eat. We left it all. Even offering a discount would of been nice. He did not.
Overall, Road to Seoul is a good option for an after movie meal. There is a Gen BBQ a block away, so there is competition for them
Interior is spacious with lots of tables and somewhat bright with a modern techno vibe.
They have a base menu with standard items for $30.
The deluxe is $36 and adds a dozen more items.
I suppose what sets them apart is they have a self-serve salad bar with mixed green salad, korean potato salad, and some kimchee
Service is ok. The waitress who initially took our order lost our order, so we sat around for 20 minutes waiting for our food. Others got seated and got their food right away. The manager walked by a few times but didn't say or so anything.
But once the other servers got involved, the meat dishes came at a steady pace. The grill plate was changed often.
I am not sure if they made a mistake or if they want customers to fill up on less expensive items, but the Bulgogi dishes were huge. Items such as short rib and pork belly came in much smaller portions. note this.
You can't beat the hours. They are open from 11am to 2am. A parking garage is behind the restaurant with 4 hours of free parking.
Road to Seoul was 10/10!!! The food was good, I especially recommend the short rib, LA kalbi, and the pork belly. The servers were very kind and quick to help. I especially liked the banchan bar, the tteokbokki and unlimited lettuce wraps were a nice surprise. After my meal I finished with orange slices, which were very delicious and refreshing🙌. Definitely recommend coming here if you can!
my partner said that he had only gone here once due to a bad experience but was told that they had improved so much so we gave it a shot.
hosts welcomed us with warmth and grace☺️
The servers, enchanted with a kind spirit, tended to our needs promptly and with care!
as we moved to explore the enchanted buffet section, our hearts sank. the array of sides, meant to complement our korean BBQ was empty and stayed like so for 30 more minutes :/
we had to basically scrape some of the food off the catering to get something on our plate...
They have a great lunch special deal. They usually have 1 server during lunch (LuLu) and shes GREAT
But sinve only 1 server, service at times may need to wait. But for $20 AYCE KBBQ , what can you expect!
Ps. They do have a robot, but that doesn't count as a server
The food is delicious. The only problem is the wait staff. I wanted to get more soju but there wasn't alot of waiters available.
Came tonight for my friends birthday, and I can say we made a great choice. Granted, it was a Wednesday night and not so busy, but regardless, the food was great, tried several different meats. The service was good as well, considering it wasn't as busy. Can say I'll come back again for another round soon.
Been to this place several times. Always great service and food! They have a few different tiers and happy hour depending on the day. The robots delivering the meat is a nice touch. They have the banchan buffet style. So you can go up and grab it anytime without having to wait! I like that. Never too busy and always great service! Staff is friendly and is pretty good on checking in with you throughout your dining experience.
