We were looking for a family activity while vacationing in the area, on a rainy afternoon (tropical storm Ophelia had a lot of outdoor activities in the area shutdown for the day). I read a bunch of conflicting reviews, and figured we’d take a chance, and I’m glad we did! I’ve never been to another Ripley’s, so I didn’t have another experience to compare it to. We are a family of 5 (2 adults, 14, 10, 7 yo). We opted for the “museum only ticket”, w/o the 4D movie, (we’d just come from a movie), and it came to about $100. It wasn’t very busy on our visit, and we spent about and hour in there. We didn’t read everything, and with the light crowd, we could have back tracked and let the kids play the interactive games a few more times. If you are doing “cost benefit” analysis, I’d figure an hour for the museum, so we averaged $20 a person per hour. That’s a fair price for wholesome family entertainment, in my opinion. The facility was clean, the staff was friendly, and we had a nice time. If looking for an indoor activity in the future, we would certainly stop in Ripley’s again.
I would have given it another star had it not been suffocating the entire tour through the museum. I've been to quite a few Ripley's museums and this is by far the worst. There just wasn't a whole lot here. I took pictures of everything that I thought was somewhat interesting. Did I mention how HOT it was inside?!!
Awesome experience when I visited a couple of months ago. Was really impressed by both the interesting and obscure displays they had. Not normally the type of museum I prefer to visit so I was blown away by how much I enjoyed it. The front counter guy was especially informative and helpful, I think his name was Joe, Joey, something like that. Would probably have not even gone in without the introduction he gave me. I am really thankful for him because I would have missed a great afternoon.
Had 2 teenage boys (and 2 parents) that were pretty entertained here. Lots of hands-on things to do. Went on a Thursday and we had lots of time to explore and play the games. I would say that the 4-D shows are more for the younger crowd.
This place brought back so many great memories definitely enjoyed it and can’t wait to come back
I gave 2 stars because it wasn't horrible, but close! The temperature is so unbearably hot in the museum, which makes you want to walk very quickly through the museum, and considering there isn't a whole lot to look at there, it doesn't take long at all. There were just a few things i felt were worthy of pictures, and im adding them. Just not a lot of things at all in this location. I've been to many Ripley's, and this was by far the worst.
Really enjoyed it but it was a little warm in the museum. Presidential Exhibit stopped in 2001, with President Bush, just wondering it just hasn't been updated or it's a subliminal message????
So much fun, they have added soooo many interactive games it's so much better than the last time I was there. Which was prob 20 years ago, lol. Really cool facts. Take your time, it's pricey, affordable, but up there if u have a large family. Took us about an hour to get through. Watch out cause you are on candid camera and it's pretty funny😂😂😂

Trail is ok for strollers with slight roots easy to manuever. Very short trail, maybe 1500 yards ish. Nice place for kids to dip their feet at waters edge. No bathrooms there.

Had a great tour guide. He gave us a ton of info on the family. Also took a picture of the front of the house. Didn't realize it was a haunted place till days later. When zoomed in on the picture, i noticed the figure in the bottom window left side.
