Rampart Casino is small and while there are a lot of games for a casino of its size, there are only a handful of high limit slots that are low in volatility.
No old school Pinball or Double Diamond. Majority of the new Link and Aristocrat games which are extremely high in volatility.
Dealers for table games seemed inexperienced. The positive is the table game minimums are reasonable. I didn't see any high limit area for table games.
The casino floor is smokey and musty. They should invest in a new HVAC system that helps purify the air. There is a small no smoking area for gaming, but it has a very limited selection of games and is directly open to the casino floor.
Everything feels grimy and not deep cleaned. Lots of lint bunnies hopping around the casino floors. They definitely need to do a thorough cleaning of the gaming floor more often.
Floor service is slow. No video blackjack at the bar areas. Dining options were not exciting.
Had a whale session and when asked for a host was told no one was working... This was on a Friday night??! The casino also doesn't offer status or tier matching.
This casino seems like an option for locals who want to gamble a little bit and get some free drinks.
Love the Rampart! Always can count on friendly and knowledgeable staff. Tre at the front desk of the Palms Tower always professional and helpful. Paul, the valet, always friendly and helpful! Great place to stay...staff always makes you feel like you are home!
Ample parking. Buffet - limited options, taste is good for Euro, Asain and Farmstand. Dessert was not good. Service is excellent. $45.50 for 2 pax was great.
I got a good buffet bar here last year for $20. I went back on Sat this year. That $20 rate was for lunch on weekdays. I went to their cafe instead and got a much bigger than I thought cheesesteak for $15. Very good with a side of coleslaw. I couldn't finish it, they did offer a to-go box which I declined. I would reorder this next trip. I just need a bigger appetite.
Love you the Visit. JW Marriott is a great place off the strip.
I've visited this property several times, to include recently, on 23 Sep 2023. The casino area isn't as robust, compared to other properties in the valley; however, they do offer a lot of similar/popular games. I don't have anything significantly negative or positive to highlight about this place, other than my family and I do enjoy stopping by once in a great while to either play or eat at the restaurants on site.
The staff here are very friendly and helpful. We have never had an awful experience with any of the employees on property. The cocktail waitresses actually come around more often than the casinos on the strip (but I think all off-strip casinos are more efficient in their drink service than on-strip).
Two things about this property I'm not a huge fan of are: (1) It seems that there are more cigarette/cigar smoke in the air compared to other local casinos...every time I walk around, it feels as though I can't walk in a path without walking past someone holding a cigarette right next to me. It wouldn't be as bad if it's just my wife and I, but whenever we bring our daughter to go eat, I can't stand having her walk past those inconsiderate smokers who blow their smoke right in the path of where people walk; and (2) I guess I'm just unlucky, but I have never won anything at this property...EVER! Regardless, none of these reasons are at the fault of the establishment...I think? And obviously, these are only my opinion, and may not affect others wanting to visit.
If you've never been to this property, it's definitely worth visiting. You don't have to gamble at all, you can just walk around or go eat at one of the many restaurants on site. The area is very serene - highly recommend this property to everyone.
My husband and I rented a A car Through the rental service at this hotel and we had a really great experience. Upon returning the car my husband and I decided to explore it to explore this outdoor oasis area that they had inside. There are streams with a small bridge and even a waterfall to gaze at! What a hidden gem, there is even outside seating area for business meetings, lunch or just to take a break to enjoy nature and a few beautiful birds. We will definitely be back to enjoy all that this casino has to offer!
The JW Marriott Hotel attached to the Rampart Casino has exceeded my expectations. Robert at the front desk was more than helpful, providing helpful information and was a really nice person.
The hotel room itself was beautiful, it had a balcony looking overlooking a courtyard and little details that made this room luxurious. We felt very fortunate to stay in such a place.
I recommend JW Marriott to anyone especially the Las Vegas locals.. What a nice staycation.
