Be a part of history! This historic Inn is beautifully restored, and it was a treasured experience to stay here. George Washington was a fairly frequent guest in his time, and the period furnishings are such that you can just picture him and Martha coming down the stairs. Linda, the Innkeeper, serves AMAZING breakfasts and the rooms have the most comfortable beds (we stayed in 2 different rooms in our stay and can attest to both!). If you like home baked cookies, fragrant and delicious teas, and beautiful atmosphere you will be very happy here. The home is easy walking distance to restaurants and the Inner Harbor, and steps from the Babe Ruth House, so I can't imagine why anyone would stay at the chain hotels around the area when this is an option.

Rachel's Dowry is an exceptional bed and breakfast. The B&B is impeccably clean, perfectly situated near the stadiums and downtown, and in a safe area. The Innkeeper, Linda, is a joy to speak with, as she is a wealth of knowledge on the area, the fascinating history of the home, and the local attractions. The little touches within the space are top notch, as the decorations are beautiful, the breakfast was delicious, and our room was elegant, cozy, and extremely well kept. Rachel's Dowry is quite the find, and a big upgrade from the nearby hotels. We can't wait to return....thanks!!

Work has been extremely stressful lately. When I need to relax and decompress, I take a few days off in Baltimore and book my favorite B&B Rachael's Dowry. Linda is amazing! She is very friendly and treats everyone with respect. I made a mistake while booking my room but called Linda as soon as I realized it and she was able to quickly resolve the issue without any hassle or judgement. I stayed in the Audrey Genevieve suite. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and smelled good. The room was already warmed up when I arrived so I was able to just chill as soon as I arrived. Food was delicious! So much so I asked for the recipe and Linda promised to email it to me later. Coffee, tea and drinking water are available at all times, as well as home-made cookies and cognac in the parlor. Also Linda knows the area very well and can recommend places to eat and visit. Without a doubt, Rachael's Dowry is my favorite B&B. Note: ask Linda for the story of the house. Thank you, Linda!!

It is a privilege to stay at this Inn and be part of history. Linda, the Innkeeper, is kind, intelligent and knowledgeable. The house has hosted George Washington and other early Americans and is so beautifully restored that you can just picture them coming down the central staircase. Breakfasts are, in a word, amazing. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The home is within easy walking distance to the Inner Harbor and other Baltimore sights such as the Babe Ruth House. It's also walking distance to University of Maryland Medical Center (which we had reason to visit unfortunately) and their law, nursing, and medical schools. Why would you stay at the chain hotels when you could stay here instead??

Lovely historic building. Host Linda Smith is very welcoming. Rooms are cozy. Breakfast is great. We have stayed there quite a few times and each time is special. Location is very central. Convenient to those going to football or baseball games.

I've traveled all around the world and stayed at many places, and this B&B is one of the best. I love the decor and historical significance. It has a home-y but luxurious feel, with the high end coffee and teas and homemade goodies. Linda is amazing! I had a late check-in and she was there to help me. I also had an early day, and she made sure my breakfast was ready for me. The food is so good. She accommodated my vegan diet without skimping on flavor or ingredients. I wish there's a Rachel's Dowry B&B in every city. I will definitely stay here when I visit again.

Linda makes you feel right at home and pays attention to every detail. This was not our first stay and won't be our last. Easy walk to Inner Harbor. Parking included. The mattress, pillows and sheets make for a great night of sleep. There are always freshly baked cookies available. Highly recommend!

I loved our stay at Rachael's Dowry. It was clean, quiet, and cozy. The host was responsive, kind, and caring. Breakfast was delicious and I loved chatting and connecting with the other guests. Will definitely stay again next time we are in Baltimore.
