Pioneer Waterland & Dry Fun Park in Chardon - Featured Reviews (1097)
Wonderful small park perfect for a family picnic. Not too crowded. Picnic tables for use throughout the park. There are about 5 grills for use if needed. They do have a place to get some food, drinks, ice cream. They also serve select beer/wine. Paddle boats are available to use. Kidsland is a playground with sand and climb on stuff/slides. Lazy river. Nice size pool. Don't forget the go karts and batting cages and putt putt also.
Great small Waterpark for the family. The lazy river is great for something calm, the pool area is split between shallow and deep for different ages and skill levels, and the 5 different water slides offer different thrills for everyone. I enjoyed it as a kid and now enjoy it with mine!
First time there and it's a very nice family oriented park. We had a ball celebrating my grand Princes 8th birthday.
This is a fantastic place for all ages! It's super cheap and the whole family can spend the day there and never get bored. There's the lazy river you can just float on for hours. Then there's the arcade, land and water basketball, water and sand volleyball, go karts, paddle boats, mini golf, multiple really fun slides, a giant pool, paddle boats, and so much more. I spent over 7 hours there with my family on a weekday and never lacked for something fun or relaxing to do.
The place is wonderfully clean! I can't stress that enough. Even the bathrooms, changing rooms, and showers are clean enough to feel safe. Staff are always within shouting distance, and they are incredibly helpful and polite. Maybe it was because I was there on a weekday instead of a weekend, but we were spoiled for places to sit down. There's even a VIP area if you want to feel like you've got your own chilling spot. If pool and lounge chairs aren't your thing, no worries! There's picnic tables everywhere; especially in some nice shady spots.
Pricing:
The entrance fees are great, if you're bringing a group, but they do charge $5 for parking, so be prepared. They accept debit/credit at all areas of the park, if you don't want to carry cash. Don't worry about any valuables, either; lockers are $0.50 and conveniently located on the outer wall of the restroom building. The gift shop is amazingly easy on the wallet. As always, though, there's a catch. The food and drink is expensive, but made to order. Hot, fresh food with a bit of a wait is worth the money, to me. They've got a great variety of foods everyone can enjoy, and even more snacks and candies in the gift shop. There's an ice cream shop, and even adult beverages available. For those on a tight budget, don't worry! I saw plenty of people with coolers lounging around with their own drinks and snacks. Just be sure to read the park rules before bringing it in.
Overall, we had a wonderful time on a beautiful day, and I know we'll be returning soon. I highly recommend Pioneer for all ages.
We had a great time but I wouldn't call it clean. Only $10 for the tiki hut / cabana.
Had an amazing family day here . Hunter was very helpful and patient with the kids getting them into the boats excellent customer service and positive attitude from him . The food was amazing we had walking tacos and funnel cake and fries . We will be returning for another family day
Let me start by saying this place is a hidden gem. I went with my family today and had a great time. The staff was friendly and life guards was attentive. Reasonable price for great family picnic and fun in the sun. Now we are really thinking about season pass for the summer . The water slides rock, and all the attractions where included in ticket price except the go karts and batting cages which costed a whooping 7 dollars for 1 ride and 10 swings . Needless to say we will be back . See you there
Took the family on a very hot day... so it was crowded! Loved the lazy river, water slides and paddle boats. I really like that they had non water activities including the go-carts. Truly something for everyone...with plenty of picnic areas, with grills, yes, you can bring in coolers and food! Very reasonably priced!
