It was 5 minutes til 2pm....they close at 2pm.....we were going to go because we didn't want to be rude...the cook, waitress and manager all talked us into staying, no problem. Very sweet bunch. We ordered and got the tastiest Blt's w/ fries. Reasonably priced. Glad we decided to stay.

Let's start with the signs. I won't lie: I lean left. That said, I don't feel the need to throw my politics out everywhere, especially on a sign before you enter as well as a sign by the cash register. You say at the bottom of the sign inside to "be respectful" - that's a two-way street. You should respect your customers diverse views. That's all I will say, but it is the reason for the poor atmosphere score. The food was great. The homemade biscuits were delicious, even though by the time we got there they had run out of gravy for biscuits and gravy. My daughter had the massive cinnamon roll, which was fluffy like white bread. The eggs and ham were good. Overall, food was great. The service too was friendly and paid attention to their guests. They didn't have any politics to espouse on us, it was just friendly discussion and good food. In short: your politics suck, your food and service was good.

One of the best places for breakfast in the area, the food is really delicious. All the things we ordered were fantastic, really a home made taste

The food was good here, BUT when I asked for sourdough toast, she said they didn't have that, but they had rye, and I said ok, that would be good. Long story short, they charged me 2.99 for rye toast! No reply from the guy who rang us out when I said the waitress never mentioned an extra charge for Rye and who in the heck charges 2.99 for Rye toast? I should have put my foot down, but I was on vacation and didn't want to argue on that. I won't ever go there again. But they wouldn't care anyway as it mostly tourists and they don't care, it seems. Shameful

We stopped because it was an easy spot to pull in at Keystone to eat and not have to fight with parking downtown. The food was really good and the staff was friendly. It did take about 35 min to get our food, but we weren't in a huge hurry. Definitely loved dipping my hubby's ff in the honey mustard dressing from my salad. Limited hours right now. Closed at 2.

I bet if Peggy and I sat down we could probably find a lot of political common ground. Unfortunately, she prefers political sniping on a chalkboard, offering an ugly message of divisiveness so close to a monument built in the spirit of unity. Food was average, service decent. As noted, they only take cash to save them a 2% credit card fee but are happy to charge you a fee to use the atm.

Great local restaurant for a hearty breakfast. HUGE pancakes and nice portion for hash browns. Prices were reasonable. Service was good and server very pleasant! Great way to start the day before visiting Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills!

This is a small hometown cafe nestled in the Black Hills. When you walk in, you feel at home. I'm sure everyone is a tourist, but they are friendly. The food is really good. Don't expect anything fancy, but it's worth the price. The biscuits are great! Our server was very funny and you could tell he loved his job. He also told us a little about Keystone.

Although this is just a tunnel; for many folks this will be a really neat experience. In addition to being a one lane tunnel through the rock of the Black Hills one of the entrances is part of a pig tail loop in the road. One note, be sure to honk
