Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort - Casino in Hot Springs - 2705 Central Ave, USA

We were on the top floor with a view of the racetrack. Beautiful room that was spacious and clean. Frankly, we loved everything about our weekend getaway! Everyone, and I mean everyone at the Hotel was very warm and friendly. They made us feel right at home. Shoutouts to the Bellman to the ladies in the bar in the lobby to the Gift Shop associates! I think the only issue, which is very minor, was there weren't enough servers in the Casino (slot areas.) I had to track them down for a Mimosa, which was way, way overpriced. We plan on coming back to the Hotel soon!

Just went into the casino. It was a pleasant experience. I was a bit on the plus side, had I not answered my phone. It always breaks up the fun mood when I'm on the phone and trying to enjoy myself. I also wanted to make it a "one-stop shop" with dinner after playing, but I guess I was too early. They should have at least one 'nice' dining area open for a nice sit-down dining experience.

I was hoping for a great experience. However, I left disappointed. My favorite game to play is 4 card keno. I was so happy to find the machine but the most amount you can play is a nickel. I am used to playing $1. Guess what? I won 5 of 5 for 880 nickles instead of $880. Terrible Experience.

Went for a concert only. Lovely facility, but was surprised that most of the seating was just chairs in a standard event hall space with a stage. The seating map was deceiving , as it made it seem it was a permanent theater hall. Next concert, I’ll choose the seats in the back. Better view and better seats. The bar out front was so backed up, so we went upstairs to on the casino bars. Not full, but the guy was so slow. The two bars inside of the hall, they worked their tails off, but too a while. But at least u could stay and enjoy the show while u waited. Overall, it was good!

Beautiful first class, full service, smoke free, resort hotel & casino with all the amenities that anyone could want. Awesome horse racing track with climate controlled seating and outside seating. 24/7 on-site sports, dog, and horse race betting. Free hotel guest valet/taxi service to and from anywhere in the city. Plenty of slot machines and table games. Great on site fast food outlets and restaurants. It was refreshing and wonderful to have fun without being exposed to rancid, disease laden tobacco smoke, dirty ashtrays, and ash on every surface. So good to see an intelligent business management group that really cares about the health and comfort of all their employees and customers.

We spent a couple of hours walking the grounds. Typical casino with all the slots, gambling games, and sports betting you could want. Employees everywhere with plenty of security. The best part of the visit was the horse race track. One of the top ten in the country. We were 6 days too early to enjoy an actual race. Would have loved to have seen a live race. Unexpected bonus: My wife played a slot machine that paid out $68.00 on a $4.00 bet.

It is a very fun place to hang out for a night or two during racing season. Half of the rooms overlook the race track and Ie pleasant even with the horses racing around the track. In addition to the casino and horse races, there is plenty of adult fun to be had throughout the city. I highly recommend staying for at least a couple of days to see almost everything Hot Springs has to offer. I'm from California, and I just love Hot Springs. There are ten lakes for fishing and water fun, Spas that pamper you like a king or queen, an amusement park for the young and old alike, and with the quaintness of the Southern hospitality it makes Hot Springs a must see when in Arkansas. James P.S. Try Taco Mama's delicious finger food while in town. Best tostada's period!!

Dec. 2023. They charge $5 for parking on race days until 2pm and they charge for the program. The casino's tables are $25 minimum as far as I could tell. The electronic versions are $3-5 min. bet. It's non-smoking. The hotel lobby looks nice and modern.
