North Shore Resort Hotel -Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Lodging - Resort hotel in Myrtle Beach - 201 75th Ave N, USA

Power was out when we got there. No email or message to let us know. They moved us to the hotel beside them, Sand Dunes. Booked 2 queen beds and got 2 full beds. Air conditioner barely worked. Pretty miserable in the room. Nice hotel otherwise. Plenty of amenities.

My family and I recently stayed at the North Shore Resort for vacation. We checked in on Saturday and I explained to the front desk representative Steve that the card on file that I paid 1 night stay with was hacked and I had a temporary card given to me by the bank. I asked if we could switch the cards and immediately his demeanor changed and he acted like we were a problem and says "thats a going to be a problem" and stated that they needed to refund the money and send us a refund check. Sending us the check was fine. As my husband proceeded with his card Steve with no eye contact says “we need the card so we can charge the entire stay". Steve then gives us wristbands for the waterpark and pools etc. and says if you lose these you are out of luck because you will not get anymore. When asking Steve questions he continued no eye contact and forgot to charge us an extra $45.00. They hounded us for the $45.00 that they forgot to charge because Steve was to busy belittling us at check in. We then spoke to the Guest Services Manager Claudine. Claudine was very helpful but stated we had to pay the $45.00 dollars or they would not give us our refund. Again we did not mind paying the $45.00 but the fact they hounded us and tried to hold the refund check hostage is crazy to us. On another note our phone did not work the whole stay, the room was fine but nothing like the picture online and bathroom was extremely small. Waterpark was fun but beware there were 6 kids going down slides at once and cracking you in the back. Balcony view and pool were great! Would love to visit Myrtle Beach again but would never stay at this hotel again!

Great location - great amenities! All staff have been very friendly and helpful. Rooms are average-sized but the bathroom is teeny tiny. Maybe just bad luck with the room choice (standard room). Everything is very clean and there are always workers keeping up with any water puddles in the lobby and elevators. Huge bonus - the on-site pizza place is delicious!

I came there July 22-25 with my family. The recent was good and kids enjoyed it. Room was clean. The only issue I had with my room was the AC sounded like a truck with a whistle. It was very irritating. I called down at 1am to put in a work order request because me nor my kids could sleep. No one ever came to check it the next day so I called down again the next night and was told a work order was being done again. Well nobody ever came to check the AC so we just dealt with it best we could. That part was a big inconvenience after being out all day and wanted to go to your room to relax. Would I go back, yes I would. Decent location, just the AC issue.

Location is great. However. We booked and paid for a oceanfront with 2 queen beds, we were put in oceanview with 2 full beds. The tub filled up completely as you showered, and took over an hour to drain completely, we had to use the trashcan to transfer water from the tub down the toilet so our whole family could shower in a timely manner. There was stains on the bed sheets and pillow cases. The fridge took almost an entire 2 days to get anything cold. Staff was super rude when we asked for towels or anything. Inside pool was super strong with chemicals, and kids were running around wild constantly. With the cost of staying at the hotel the mini golf should be free. Overall, we won't go back.

We had a very enjoyable stay. I will say that I knew ahead of my stay that this was a limited service hotel and did not have housekeeping in daily. I actually prefer that. Our room was clean. I was wondering if the bed was going to be comfortable because it was not as cushy as I was used to, but honestly I slept very well with no complaints. I could have possibly used an extra blanket, since my husband likes to sleep cold. We had great water pressure in the shower and tons of super hot water. We enjoyed in the indoor and outdoor pools and loved being directly on the beach. The arcade and mini golf were closed for construction. Everyone I dealt with was very nice. We had a great stay.

My family of 2 children and 2 adults stayed here from June 27th through July 1st. We had an ocean front room. Our time here was WONDERFUL. Had ZERO COMPLAINTS. There is 2 pool areas that you can swim and take your children too. The rooms were exactly how they look. Very clean, very friendly staff. I don’t think they come and clean the rooms but if your someone like me it won’t bother you at all because I clean up even on vacation anyway 😂 you have to take your trash out but it’s literally maybe 30 steps and back. They kept a broom in our room which definitely came in handy when wanting to sweep up the sand that comes in with you. Whenever you’re done with your towels just make a pile of dirty ones and when you are ready for new ones you just take them and exchange them for new ones. I was worried before we got there though because all of the negative reviews but I’m glad I didn’t let that stop me because our experience at this hotel was far from negative! If you’re looking for somewhere quiet and more laid back North Shore is definitely the hotel for you!

The rooms are spacious and nice enough, but nothing spectacular. We enjoyed the ocean front pool, DJ outside and italian ice available. However, do not let the photos fool you, the waterpark is not nice at all. It's set in like the back of a parking lot and is very old and rusty. I did not feel safe with my kids on the slides. The slides did not work well (because they are ancient) my kids kept getting stuck, and the lazy river is very cracked and broken. Nothing is really clean. We walked into the River City Cafe and walked right out. You could just smell the filth. Like dirty, stale carpeting and old food smell. It was dark and dingy in there too. I could not get out fast enough. The staff were reasonably kind. The whole site is under construction and none of the amenities were available except the black light mini golf, and they still had the audacity to charge extra for that. We still made the best of it but we only booked one night and I think if it's a short stay, it's okay. If I booked my entire vacation there I would have been really upset. I'd look elsewhere if you want something nice.
