I went with my 3 yr old daughter for their Grow With Goddard class. Not only were there 4 great, age-appropriate activity stations for her to explore, but the class occurred an hour before the visitor center opened to the public, so we were able to explore the regular exhibits at the center, as well as the rocket garden outside, too. We even made a quick stop to the gift shop before we headed home. It was such a fun way to introduce her to real things from outer space.

We took our two kids here! Very nice educational place for kids and adults. Love the set up they have here and the small gift shop too. No tickets required for entry and free parking. There are lots of benches outside for people who want to have a picnic there. Public restrooms are also available.

We took our son down because he loves outer space, and they were so happy and accommodating. Our son has autism, and they had sensory bags ready if we needed one, and they were happy to meet someone named James Webb (my son was born before the telescope). The Meet the Scientist segment they had was awesome, and my son loved doing the experiment they had. Julie was so sweet, and it was so fascinating listening to her talk!

Such a great place to learn more about NASA and some of their programs. Julia at the main desk was very helpful and so nice to talk to. I'd highly recommend the solarium

We went on a Sunday, not crowded at all. Free, not reservations is needed. Small (compared to the DC museums) but very interactive, great for kids (ours are 5 and 7) and informations, very informative as well (Heliophysics, space exploration, space telescopes, space communication, NASA’s impact on earth and daily life, the Solarium video art is pretty cool too) All in all, we had a great time, and definitely recommend to all families living nearby or just visiting the area.

This is a really interesting museum if you are at all interested in space. We spent about two hours here but could’ve spent much longer. There is both an indoor part of the museum and an outdoor section where you can see various rockets and space related items. I have very limited mobility and get around on a scooter. The museum itself was accessible and had accessible bathrooms. However, there is one area where you can go into an auditorium to watch various engineers talking about their specialty. I had to sit away from my husband because there was no where for my scooter to fit on the end of a row. Also, I could not navigate the gift shop with my scooter, it was just too small. Interestingly they had one of those buttons on the door that opens the door for those with mobility issues. Other than those two obstacles the rest was able to navigate with my scooter. The admission is free and the staff were really nice and helpful.

Great place to be to know some of the outstanding work and demonstration of NASA. Kids friendly and wheelchair accessible. You can even " smell the universe" "smell of Venus" including the sound of the SUN. which is incredible.
