Great place
We weren't trying to find it . But wow we stuck gold. This place has atmosphere and friendly staff. Inside they have an outside area with heaters so you can enjoy the air but be inside. The food came out fast and the portions are huge!!!!! For the price you are making out with a steal. It's interesting because it seems French from name but mostly Italian food. The alligator sausage is sooo good.. the shrimp and lobster 🦞 roll is large and delicious.
So good! The muffaletta sandwiches are amazing, bread is baked perfectly and filled with delicious meats. They're also huge so I recommend getting that and gumbo and splitting both with a friend. Pair all that with a Pims flight and you'll be living good.
I don't even know where to begin with my feelings on Napoleon House - I LOVE IT SO MUCH! We used NH for our destination wedding (both ceremony and reception). I was brave (and maybe semi crazy) and booked the venue completely sight unseen - I was totally reliant on all the pictures and videos that I could find online and honestly it exceeded my expectations on arrival. Upon reaching out for our initial inquiry, we were immediately connected with Karen and Beth that are honestly a dream team. These ladies are top tier professionals and had the answer to every tiny question we had. I felt so confident going into the wedding because of all the honesty and open communication we had in the months leading up to our date. They were able to provide sample floor plans and provide suggestions that truly made the day just flow perfectly. Their vendor recommendations were excellent and I truly relied on these connections to assemble an incredible team of vendors to help make our day complete. We had 80 guests at our wedding, and used the Rosa and Pietro Rooms upstairs. Per NH's suggestion, we did a second line between ceremony and reception so the staff could have room/time to flip the space. I was hesitant on doing this at first, but I cannot recommend doing this enough - it made the event that was already special, one for the memory books! I honestly am just so pleased with my experience and cannot sing enough great praises about the entire team at the NH who helped make this event run so seamlessly. Everyone at NH are tried and true professionals, genuinely lovely people to work with, and dedicated to delivering excellent service. Last but no least, the FOOD & DRINKS!!!! It was all so good and months later, I am still getting random messages from guests about how the turkey at NH was the best they've ever had. Overall, if you're thinking about NH for a wedding or event, you cannot go wrong! 10/10 recommend and I am confident you will be in great hands!
And maybe fighting words but I'll say it--best muffaletta in the entire French quarter if not the city. Napoleon house is a great place to sneak into around lunch. The old New Orleans vibe makes it a place worth visiting. Also it is the right amount of affordable and quality.
Quaint little restaurant in French Quarter. It was a little bit of a wait to get in but, even on a brisk December day, it wasn’t so bad. Food looked amazing as it was brought to us, but lacked some quality. The jambalaya was crunchy (not a good sign). The flavors were good, but when the rice is crunchy it ruins the entire experience. I have to say, the warm muffuletta was really good.
I really liked this place! We went here for dinner (without a reservation). We ordered the boudin sausage, jambalaya and the spicy chicken sandwich. Everything tasted good, service was really nice and I liked the atmosphere too! Would definitely recommend trying this place out if you’re in NOLA!
The food is fantastic, the service was wonderful, and the setting is amazing. The decor, the architecture and the visible patina, and mystique of the building all contribute to a very flavorful experience. If you have the opportunity and the stomach to explore its darker haunts, you will have a richer experience still. This is one of the more haunted buildings in New Orleans and even if you don't believe in that sort of thing, viewing the hidden former slave pens upstairs, in the dark, will send a chill through your bones. Tred lightly, if at all.
NAPOLEON HOUSE.
It's one of the much hyped up restaurants in town.
Ambiance and it's history is fascinating.
If you LOVE bland food it's the place for you.
I could only say that the mustard sauce they served with our boudin was the only thing going when it came to flavor.
We will not return.
