The Arch is cool, the Museum is AMAZING.
Well done.
So informative.
Much more than basic Arch information/history - but great insight on life lessons from the past - for all ages.
Parts are interactive and entertaining.
Great for children, great for adults.
Plan to spend at least an hour to go through at a quasi fast pace.
Plan for two hours if you need to read everything and participate in activities.
You will need to go through a security screening (similar to at airport), but it’s pretty fast.
Keep an eye on your items in the bins — I caught one woman trying to take my stuff.
Other than that, the museum is where I would spend all my time. Going up in the Arch isn’t as enjoyable as the museum and movie.
Our recent visit to the Museum at the Gateway Arch was an absolute delight for the whole family. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the modern architecture and the iconic Gateway Arch itself. The museum offers a comprehensive and engaging experience that beautifully blends history, education, and entertainment.
The highlight of our visit was the tram ride to the top of the Arch. The journey was both thrilling and informative, offering breathtaking views of the city and the Mississippi River. The tram guides were knowledgeable and shared interesting facts along the way, enhancing the experience even further.
The riverboat cruise on the Mississippi was another memorable part of our day. The narrated cruise provided insights into the history of the river and its role in shaping the development of the region. The views of the Arch from the river were stunning.
As a family-friendly destination, the Gateway Arch Museum truly exceeded our expectations. The combination of educational exhibits, exciting attractions, and breathtaking views made for an unforgettable day. Whether you're a history enthusiast, an architecture lover, or simply looking for a fun day out with the family, this museum is a must-visit.

Really cool to see in person. We didn't even know that it had an observation deck.
I would recommend watching the short film on the construction of the Arch before going up to the observation deck. Very interesting story, gives you great appreciation for the people who built it.
We waited around in Missouri for about five days for the weather to clear up to travel up to the arch and see it. TOTALLY WORTH IT! It is recommended that you buy tickets ahead of time as they can get really busy. However, the day we went, It was not busy at all. There are so many cool things to look at and the gift shop is amazing! I would recommend eating before you get there, because the Arch Cafe there is awful. I mean awful..
Notes, if you are claustrophobic or in poor shape and cannot climb chairs, you will not have a good time going all the way up in the arch.
Oh! You can renew your federal parks pass here also.
The arch was pretty awesome! We visited as we were passing through. My fiance really wanted to be able to see it, and I'm glad we stopped. It is an absolute mind-boggling architectural wonder. The whole park was very pleasant, the grass was well maintained and the whole place was very serene.
I didn't have too much time to walk the museum as it was close to closing time but there was a large amount of information about the western expansion. Very well built and has a lot of placards with info. Definitely give it a look!
1st time seeing the museum since it was updated and wow! Looks so clean and modern. That being said, I do miss the old museum for pure nostalgia sake. Great job all around.
For a moment I thought I was in Dubai.
Can't believe it's built from 1947 and finish 1965.
It still looks very modern to me.
We are in awe of this amazing architect.
It's math, it's physics, it's an equilateral triangle, it's Lego..
It can bear lightning & earthquake.
Can't miss this tourist site if you are tourist.
