Mohonk Mountain House - Resort hotel in New Paltz - 1000 Mountain Rest Rd, USA

what a wonderful place to stay. was incredible to see trails and grounds covered in beautiful snow. took walking hikes with Michael (the Naturalist) which were spectacular. He pointed out animal tracks, birds, nesting and feeding areas. Hike up to sky top tower was breathtakingly beautiful. He even brought us back through the ice skating rink where the largest, most beautiful fireplace warmed us up. Such a special experience and the food is absolutely outstanding.

Amazing experience. The location is beautiful and there is so much to do. We went in the winter and were able to hike, ice skate, do campfires, listen to live music etc. the house is beautiful and full of history as well. 100% will come back in the summer to experience the lake more

Mohonk Mountain House is our favorite getaway. We go for just one night, but arrive by 9am on day one and depart after 4pm on day two as there is plenty to do and experience. It is a magical place for our family and friends. Although it can seem expensive, if you use all the facilities and activities, you can totally get your moneys worth. The food is both exceptional and bountiful. Truly fine dining at its best. The grounds offer a myriad of opportunities for both long or short walks, hikes or runs. We've visited Mohonk in both warm and cold weather and have done everything from golf to paddle boarding to cross country skiing (all of which is included). Our favorite indulgence is the indoor pool where I swim for an hour and my husband sleeps. It is an oasis of relaxation and not to be missed.

We have visited Mohonk several times and most recently spent New Year's weekend there. Yes, it is pricey but we found it to be well worth it every time. Our room was clean, quiet and comfy with an amazing view of the lake and the New Year's fireworks. All of the food was delicious, especially the dinners (lunch and breakfast are buffets). All of the staff was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the guided hikes/walks and all of the live music and other New Year's activities. We also appreciated that while the house retains its old-fashioned charms, they are constantly making upgrades such as installing more outlets in each rooms for all the devices we need to charge nowadays. We can't wait to come back!

Overall, it was a good experience. Let me start saying that stuff was friendly, helpful, and kind, so shoot out to them. It's an all-inclusive resort which is good for one or two days then you would get bored of the food , same menus were served the days we stayed. The building has a lot of history, and it's beautiful on the outside. The views are breathtaking the hotel architecture, the mountains, the lake all astonishing, and lots of things to do around the property. It'll be more fun to visit in the summer. The inside has a couple of interesting spaces other than that there isn't much to see, understandably. I meant it's an old building, well maintained, yes, but the rooms weren't spacious, the furniture was cheap (not old just bad quality), and I feel like the resort lacks modernity. Nice place to be once in a lifetime. Just don't stay longer than 2 days, and dont expect luxury.

Mohonk Mountain House never disappoints. There are a wide variety of included activities including snow tubing, ice skating, snow shoeing, Pilates, yoga etc. without extra cost. The food is five star and the resort is beautiful. Even the least expensive rooms are well appointed. Tea and cookies everyday at 4 pm are another treat.

Beautiful location that's easy to get to. Resort is gorgeous, food and service are good. Room is a little dated and cold. The grounds are breath taking. The building is very cool, some very skilled craftsmen built this gorgeous resort

The Mountain House and surrounding properties are magnificent. Beautiful and stunning is not a sufficient way to describe the property. It is absolutely a magical experience that takes you back in time. We already booked another trip back.
