OK guys, If you want a local spot in Suffolk, VA with awesome food and great service then Metro diner is your destination. I visited for the first time yesterday and, not only is the food and the service awesome, they are one of the most patriotic restaurants I’ve ever been to. My team and I were in uniform and multiple patrons in the restaurant came up and thanked us for our service and we even struck up a conversation with a gentleman that served in the military 40 years ago. Cayleigh was our server and she was totally awesome! I had the fried chicken and it was amazing. Highly recommend!!

First time here from out of town. The whole family loved it. Great service. I had the waffle and grits. Tasty!!!! Grits were seasoned good. Shrimp and grits were good. Cheese steak was wonderful.

Staff has excellent customer service. Food hot and delicious another must stop in and visit location. I had to update my review to Mr. Dan I stand and applaud you sir!!!! You are the trusted example of exemplary customer service. I had an issue with the delivery service that delivered for your location and you made it right. The ownership goes above and beyond to make it right. I will always be a loyal customer to your establishment. Thanks again

Variety of choices and good service. Tho the cooks have changed over the years the quality of food has been good. Every time I've been, it's been a pleasure which is why I keep going back.

Metro Diner Suffolk has one of the most organized group of staff members for a restaurant in this area. I chose to dine here with family after IHOP college drive failed to have anyone at their hostess stand for service. Metro was busy but we didn't wait long to be sat at a table. I ordered the shrimp and grits, my son ordered the brunch burger, and we also had the cinnamon roll pancakes. The pancakes had the right amount of sweetness not overpowering and was great with hot syrup. The brunch burger was well seasoned. The choice of the poached egg, hollandaise and hash browns on this burger really made this dish come together. The shrimp and grits was definitely a large portion. The sauce on the grits was full of flavor, seasoned, and had a velvety texture bringing that umami taste. Complemented with cheese grits, the shrimp and andouille sausage brought this home. Metro Diner maintained excellent service throughout our experience.

Visiting from Florida. Didn't know there was another Metro Diner. 😳 I liked. Christie, our waitperson, was friendly and accommodating. I had the chicken salad sandwich-delicious. My friend had the classic burger with bacon. She ate it all. It looked fantastic. The French fries were plentiful and flavorful. I love the atmosphere.

I would keep this place a secret for a multitude of reasons. This restaurant is definitely ON POINT! I have nothing bad to say. The food is OUTSTANDING. The chicken and waffles were cooked to perfection. The burger was juicy in an awesome way. The restaurant is staffed very well, which contributes very much to the excellent service! Bottom line: My favorite diner. 🎤
