Honestly the best place I have ever stayed — we were very sad to leave! Scott is a fantastic host who makes amazing breakfasts. We loved the cozy rooms and the overall beautiful feel of the house, plus it was SO walkable to colonial Williamsburg and William & Mary college. Everything about this area is wonderful — this will definitely be a reoccurring destination for us!

My husband and I went on a rare get away, I have always loved Williamsburg and we have been there many times over the years with the kids and now without them as they are all grown now. I looked online and found Magnolia Manor B&B, the price was good and reading reviews from different guests made it seem like a perfect place to stay. Booking was fast and easy, the trip from Baltimore took 6 hours because of traffic in Virginia and into DC, and we finally got there around 4:15. Scott was not there but he had left an email telling when he would be there. It was really hot that day and we had been sitting outside in the heat for an hour when he finally arrived, he said he had taken his kids to a soccer game and apologized for being late. He gave us the key to the room and told us where it was, happened to be on the third floor. We had luggage and my husband has bad knees so the climb to the 3rd floor was rough, and it was hot inside the place. I managed to catch Scott as he was leaving and asked if there was another room we could have that was closer to the first floor, his answer was yes but those rooms were reserved in advance for "special" guests. The room itself was okay, decent size, bathroom with jacuzzi tub looked like it was lost in the 1970's there was some kind of storage area in the bathroom and since the room was in what was probably the attic at one time, the wifi sucked, I took my fire stick to watch tv on and could not even connect to the wifi, there were no toiletries in the bathroom other than a half used bottle of hand soap, towels were old and clean but stained. The a/c which came on and off constantly did little to cool the room. On to breakfast.... Scott explained the time and what the menu for breakfast was and I told him I have Crohn's disease and cannot eat a lot of foods, I asked if there was an alternative and he said no.. No toast, bagels nothing for those of us who cannot eat what he cooked. 4 miserable days and nights the morning we were to check out , Scott was there and spent the entire time at a table with guests that obviously were on the "special guests" list... Scott looked up only to remind us to sign the guest book and leave a nice review for our stay... All I can say is never again... Ill stick with a chain hotel

Lovely place and Scott was great! We stayed for 2 nights. I was unable to eat something for breakfast and spoke to Scott and he provided me an alternative which was very good. Very convenient to Colonial Williamsburg and was able to walk there from the B&B. Scott was very hospitable. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Only thing was the bathroom door would not close, maybe it can be an easy fix? Overall, had a great stay and will return!

It's very rare for us to say - we are going to miss a place that we have stayed overnight in - but we really are. It was uniquely beautiful and clean and welcoming. Scott was the perfect host. The breakfasts were delicious. The location is perfect for site seeing or shopping. We stayed in the Magnolia Suite. This is a place we will definitely return.

We snagged room #2 for the third weekend in October and boy howdy did we feel very red carpet. That suite is almost as big as my condo! Scott, the owner, has great personality and gave us the tips on where to visit. I also enjoyed the hot tea on demand and the daily muffins. There also was this ciabatta egg and pepper breakfast sandwich that I'm still thinking about. We pretty much walked everywhere so location is perfect. Very clean bed and breakfast and nice parking. Would definitely stay here again!

Scott, the owner, was very attentive and personal with his guests. His breakfasts were delicious and made from scratch and offered other options. The stuffed berry french toast was beyond amazing. The manor is beautifully decorated and keeps with the colonial williamsburg theme. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are big and have enough drawer space and closet space for two adults to unpack. The bathrooms were spacious and clean. For my family's quick weekend getaway it is perfectly located in between colonial williamsburg, water country usa, and Busch gardens. Its also less than 5 miles to restaurants, bars, and shopping. Would highly recommend this place for a getaway and will stay again.

My husband and I have been here for a total of 4 stays and it’s become a special place to us. Every time we come we get room #2 which is like a mini apartment, beautiful walk in shower, and the most comfy bed you will ever sleep in! Breakfast is always so yummy and the treats during the day is always so nice to have! Scott the owner does a great job of taking the time of talking to guests and making sure everyone is set for their day of exploring! Location is great as well - just a few blocks from the main square which we like so we get some steps in! This is the hidden gem you’re searching for - go book now!

The rooms were very clean and tidy, and the breakfast was superb, but what really sold us was how attentive and considerate our host Scott was. He went out of his way to make an alternative breakfast both days for my girlfriend who is dairy free, and he was extremely flexible with our arrival and departure and sent us daily emails with weather, attraction and business hours, and things to do. We couldn't have asked for a better host, and we can't wait to come back!
