Never experienced Peruvian food before and this was a great introduction. Appetizers, meals, dessert, and drinks were all amazing. Service was wonderful. Don’t let the low key atmosphere fool you, this place is 5 stars. Will definitely be back.

I work so close to this place and have had so many reasons to go but haven’t gone yet. My friend and I were going to watch a film nearby and she suggested she wanted seafood and so I said we should try Lima. We were sat right by the door (my shoulder hit the sanitizer pump at least 12 times) and every time the door opened the heat blasted my back. I didn’t want this to take away from my experience so I just ignored it as best as I could. The wait staff was so short and I couldn’t believe the influx of reservations that pulled in—we walked in with about 10 patrons and left with the whole house full. Food: the sweet plantains were incredible with the sauce provided, the chicken tamal was so perfectly seasoned, the carapulcra was so unique and tasty (super peanuty vibe), the ceviche with sea bass was incredulous, and the alfajores were the best I’ve had. The waiter told me that he had lived in Buenas Aires like I had and we both agreed that these were better than the ones in Argentina. Drink: the pisco sour traditional was boozy and perfectly balanced — eventually we were given a whole bottle of water and it was super beneficial. As we were dining, there were at least 40 patrons who entered with reservations and we still got adequate attention. I would return to try some beef dishes but overall I was super happy with what we tried. The live music made the evening special and I’m so happy to know this place is keeping things Peruvian and special to their country.

The food is always good here. The Ceviche Limeño is a favorite, but we went with the Anticuchos (beef heart with Perúvian corn and potatoes), and Lomo Saltado. Both were delicious and solidified Lima Criolla as a favorite all the way around. We also tried the Lima Mule, and both mango punch and chicharrones. It's central location and quick service make this a convenient stop along 35 or 290/2222.

The food was amazing! I highly recommend it. The service was a little disappointing. It felt like we were an inconvenience especially to the waitress with the yellow flattop. For a period we were trying to get our waiter’s attention but he seemed overwhelmed with other tables. So I got up went to the female described above who was at the bar. When I approached her she had the biggest “don’t talked to me” face just to put it politely. I proceeded to ask for a drink in which she nodded her No… didn’t say anything to me and called another waiter. Which I founded odd because she was the one who ended up making the drink anyway. Unfortunately, people like her can ruin a good business. Props to the cooks. They amazing.

I got the Chica morada drink, Tallarines verdes, and Lomo saltado limeño. The drink reminds me of a plum and grape flavored drink. The tallarines verdes pasta was good. The steak in it was a bit chewy. It also came with two potato that were shaped like boiled eggs. The lomo saltado limeño steak was good. The fries in it were good too. The rice was okay. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

The food was delicious. Fried rice is nothing that I had before, full of flavor. You just have to try it. Come early cause they get really busy really fast.

I love Peruvian food and in my opinion this is the closer to home style Peruvian you can find in Austin. Their menu has a good variety of dishes. Service is lack luster but decent. After 3 visits, I can’t say I’ve had any friendly waitstaff. Pisco sours are delicious. I love their chupe de camarón, lomo saltado, and anticuchos. Most of their soups are delicious and their carapulcra is super tasty. I recommend it but wish they welcomed you a bit better, it would add a nice touch.
