LA Fitness - Gym in Edison - 905 US-1, USA

Been going here for about a year and I like it, it’s convenient and well maintained. I came here after going to a work gym in the city for years which was stocked with crazy amenities so this was very different as there aren’t any here really. But for the price, I wouldn’t expect it to have lots of those anyway. What I will say is that I tried other LA fitness locations and this one is by far the best one even compared to the “signature” locations and ones that have a cafe and juice bar. It’s much better maintained and has a lot of equipment and machines, I barely ever have to wait for anything. I love that they have a pool too and it’s usually pretty empty.

Overall, I really enjoy this gym. During peak hours I have trouble finding the dumbbells I need, but it's never so crowded that I feel uncomfortable. However, my biggest complaint is people don't clean up after themselves. Recently the gym posted signage telling people to re-rack their weights, but as I stand in the terf area on a Saturday afternoon, this place is a mess.

Great gym. The guy who signed me up was straight up hiding some of the fees and charges that it would cost to be a member here the day I signed up. Just tell people what it costs to be a member, don't be sneaky and deceitful. I even specifically asked about whether there is anything other than the monthly membership cost, and I don't remember the exact answer I was given, but I was certainly not led to believe that I would be charged $50 out of the blue at some point. I love going to this gym, and I would willingly pay what it costs to be a member. But I feel like I'm not willingly paying. I'm being robbed and violated and charged $50 without my knowledge because even though I asked about this, the sales person hid that information from me. Scum. (I know I signed a document saying I read and acknowledged the terms, but I didn't read it. I trusted the person I was speaking to. I shouldn't have trusted the guy. That's on me. Still very upsetting that the person I had to deal with here was so shady.)

I had an outstanding experience with LA Fitness in New Jersey, Edison, thanks to General Manager Aaron. His exceptional leadership, dedication to customer satisfaction, and proactive approach to addressing concerns truly set the standard. Aaron's professionalism and commitment make LA Fitness an excellent fitness destination. I highly recommend this facility under his management for anyone seeking top-notch service and a positive gym environment. Five stars without a doubt!

I recently joined this gym and have been impressed by the clean and welcoming environment. The facilities are well-maintained, creating a positive atmosphere for workouts. Highly recommend for those who appreciate a tidy and comfortable gym setting! Aaron is an awesome general manager and a very knowledgeable person.

Our check in was the best! Maurice warmly greeted us and showed us some things on the app that we weren’t aware of. He was the best welcoming person we’ve had in a long time! Let’s keep him in the Edison location!

I joined LA Fitness about a month ago at the recommendation of Maurice. He was professional, pleasant as well as encouraging. I also sat with Arron about using a personal trainer. These two young men are extremely knowledgeable about the equipment and the best ways to get the body you desire. They always greet you with a smile. Looking forward to personal training once I have completed my 3 month Palate classes.
